Christmas Cards 2019-Dec-03

Hi,

I am sharing a couple Christmas cards stamped with a non-Christmas icon image stamp.  I heat embossed Simon Says Stamp Pretty Peonies Background on red card stock.  Let's take a look:

This first one I white embossed the image on red card stock, and darken the blooms with watercolor.  The embossed panel is then trimmed and adhere to white card base.  The greeting is also white heat embossed, and I embellished with a few red sequins.

I made a second one using Brass embossing powder.

Challenges:

Supplies:

Hero Arts Stamp & Cut Frame
Versamark Watermark Ink
Ranger Super Fine White Embossing Powder
PSX Detail Brass Embossing Powder
Altenew Watercolor 36 Pan Set

Center Cut Flower bouquet

Hi there, welcome back to my blog.

This is my second post today, for my Nasturtium Hello on a2z post, click here.

Did you watch the Royal Wedding?  I didn't but there are enough media coverage everywhere so I am aware of a few things about it, such as the white and green palette of the bouquet.  I love it!!  That is the inspiration of my card below.

I wanted to keep my card very light and airy.  So, just simple heat embossing in Brass the confetti background, the sentiment and the flowers.  I gave the flower a light pale wash of yellow and green.  And I added a shimmery coat of Perfect Pearl powder mixed with water.

Really shiny under the sun light!  Then I embellished with some clear and pale green sequins.

Challenges:

Supplies:

Watercolor
Brass embossing powder
Little Things from Lucy's Card Sequin Mix (Apple Ice)

Thanks for visiting.  I wish you a lovely day.

White on white Congrats

Okay so today is one of those days that I put cooking and working on the back burner!  :D

Instead I made a card!  For the Simon Says Stamp Flickr group challenge #25, the theme is White on White with a Touch of Colour.  God I hope the silver embossing is nutral enough so it doesn't count as a colour, otherwise I'd have two touches!!  LOL!!

Okay here's the card:

Supplies:

Simon Says Stamp Congratulations
Simon Says Stamp Woodland Tree Die (use for the leaves of the single bloom bouquet)
Sizzix Cornflowers & Posies Embossing folders
Silver embossing powder

Blue Thank You

Hello my crafty friends,

Did you have nice weather in the weekend?  It was warm and sunny yesterday, so I went outside to work in my yard.  The Lilies of the Valley is blooming now, oh that fragrance is intoxicating!!!  But I can't enjoy completely since I have really bad allergy symptoms since the beginning of Spring!  :(  It's raining today, perfect for stamping and rest my aching back.

This is what I made:

The large flowers in the background are stamped with Broken China and heat embossed with clear EP.  The small leaf and flowers on both foreground and die cut are stamped with Broken China and heat embossed with Pearl Blue EP.  Sentiment is stamped with Chipped Sapphire and heat embossed with clear EP.   After I adhere the die cut piece on the card base, I place the cutting die on top and use it as a guide to add the white dots using white gel pen.

I would enter into these challenges:

Pillowcase Shaped Gift boxes

Hello my crafty friends,

I have a quick share today, made a couple of pillowcase shape gift boxes for my DM and MIL.  I used stamps from the SSS Lovely Spring set (part of the Falling for You Collection).

The box behind shows the backside of the boxes.  Sentiment is from Avery Elle.  The center of the yellow flower on the right hand side is from Hero Arts Printed Flower set.

The wreath in the center of the box is heat embossed with gold EP.  The rest of the images are stamped with distress inks.

Les Beaux Arbres

Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge - A is for...

so I went with "A" is for Arbres (French word for tree).  I hope it's okay.  :)

I coloured these trees using a watercolour effects by mixing distress ink with Perfect Pearl solution.  You could see the shimmer here and there, and I love how they turned out.  However I keep thinking I could add more to the card but don't want to make it too cluttered, so I left it.

I am also submitting it to the Simon Says Stamp flickr Group pool Challenge #16 - Water Colouring.

ETA (April 14th): Arlene encouraged me to enter this to the Die Cut Diva's April Challenge - In the garden.

Supplies:
Cutting die: SSS (Woodland Tree)
Stamp: Inkadinkado
Ink: Ranger Distress (Wild Honey, Barn Door, Peeled Paint, Crushed Olive, Squeezed Lemonade, Old Paper, Milled Lavender, Chipped Sapphire, Broken China), Memento (Tuxedo Black)
Other: Ranger Perfect Pearl

Have a Heart

Hello there:

I hope the sun is shining wherever you are!

So February is just a few days away and there are many Love theme challenges.  I made a shaker card like this:

The heart shape is hand cut after I traced the shape from a template.  Both 'home' and sentiment are from the Simon Says Stamp Exclusive - Make a Home stamp set.  Inside the shaker, there are two sizes of punched hearts, pink seed beads, and red sequins.

Challenges to link up:

Simon Wednesday Challenge - Have a Heart

Simon Says Stamp Flickr Challenge #11 - Love theme

Time Out Challenge #23 - Valentine's Day with the Optional Twist of Hearts and Something extra

SOS #186 - Love Me Do (my stash is the old large heart shape template and the small heart shape punch) and red CS.

Thanks for stopping by, I wish you a lovely day!!

I love my home

Hi,

I am playing with another new cutting die, and stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.  Let's take a look:

The tree cut from Woodland Tree die (DieCember 2014 Collection).
The house, mail box, bird, and cloud are from the Make a Home (Better Together Collection).  As you can see I paper pieced this little scene.  The cloud is actually the tree stamp, but I stamped it with Broken China on vellum to make it lighter.  This would be a New Home card.

I will link up to a couple challenge:
