So Dam Much on Die Cut Divas

 Hi,

Hope you're all enjoying the New Year!  It's my turn today to post on Die Cut Divas today.  This month's challenge theme is: Valentine's Day.

Our sponsor is Lawn Fawn, and they make the cutest stamps!!

My mini slimline project features one of the very cute stamps from their 2023 Valentine's release.  Let's take a look.

I had so much fun putting this scene together.  The background panel is pattern paper from Lawn Fawn (Watercolor Wishes Rainbow), I didn't have to do much, just die cut with Large Mini Slimline Stackables and darken a little with distress ink at the bottom.

I die cut some "branches" using brown cardstock and built the dam for the hugging beavers.  The stamped images are colored with Copic markers.

While I got my Lawn Fawn pile out, I made a second project; a mini slimline shaker card.

I used the Large Mini Slimline Stackable and die cut the frame, then a bunch of hearts using the Candy Hearts die set to place inside the shaker.  I use smaller heart shape from other sets to cut the smaller hearts as part of the shaker bits.  I even stamped the inside.

I hope I have inspired you to play along.  Hop over to Die Cut Divas to get all the details.

And I am playing along these challenges:

Christmas Cards 2022-Sep-03

 Hi there,

I am sharing another addition to my Christmas card stash.  Wouldn't it fun to open a letter mail and a whole pile of snowflakes spill out?!  My card is inspired by this idea.

I present to you an envelope shaped card.  This open envelope is die cut using Pigment Craftt's Enveloped die.  I layered a bunch of snowflakes die cut using glitter paper, vellum, and white card stock splattered with gold, and adhere them to my envelope.

So fun!!!

Mosaic Birthday on Die Cut Divas

 Happy Saturday everyone!

I am sharing a mosaic style card on Die Cut Divas Challenge blog today.  It took me a bit of time to put it together, but I was happy to use up some of the small pieces of scrap paper (I have a hard time parting with them so I have lots) in my stash.

I used Sunny Studio Quilted Hexagons Dies, and die cut a big bunch of these geographic tiles.  Then I glue them on a slimline scalloped frame while creating a mosaic look.  I didn't use any ruler or spacer, so at the end the tiles are not 100% aligned, but I like it.  It is less rigid and more vibrant.  The birthday banner is Brass heat embossed.

The challenge theme of March is Birthday on Die Cut Divas.  Sunny Studio is our sponsor.  I hope you'd join in the fun!  We could all use another birthday card, right?!  😀

Challenges:

Christmas Cards 2022-Jan-07

Hi,

Playing with some new craft goods today, trying to distract myself from the headache and fatigue I got my the booster shot.

My mini slimline card somehow ended a bit wonky!  I blame it on my sore arm.  LOL  But most likely caused by me stretching a bit too much when adhering the stitched die cut!  I don't know, but it still looks good.

Ombre butterfly

Hello,

The power was out earlier, thank goodness it's during the day, and as long as there is daylight I can craft!!  Luckily the power came back soon, otherwise I couldn't use my heat gun!!  LOL

For this CAS card, I first stamp the butterfly from the Hero Arts Greetings set in an ombre fashion on white card stock.  Next I used coloring pencils to add in a tiny bit of details, and then hand cut it.  The following step is to clear heat emboss the entire butterfly.

On a separate piece of 4.25 by 5.5 inch white card panel I stamped the leaves from Altenew Warm Wishes set in Spun Sugar, and then the sentiment in black.  Then with my stylus and trimmer I scored the pancel from backside 1/4 inch from the edge all around to create the embossed frame.

Lastly I glue the panel to a white card base, and adhered the butterfly.

Here's a closer look, you could see the shine from the clear embossing.

Spring Flower Birthday Wishes

Hi,

It was a good day today.  Did some no line watercoloring and made a birthday card.

To create this card, with the help of my MISTI I stamped part of the Outline Flowers with Antiqued Linen distress ink on a watercolor paper panel.  I stamped a smaller leave from another stamp set to complete the wreath.  Then the watercoloring fun starts.  :)

After the watercolors are done, I masked the wreath and the center and splattered some green and blue ink in the outter area.  Lastly I stamped the sentiment in black and then adhere the panel to a white card base.

Btw I added white and orange dots to the flower centers with white gel pen and orange glaze pen.  I decorated an envelope for my card too.

I first stamped the snowflakes using Tumbled Glass and Broken China in the background.  After it's completely dried, I heat emboss 'joy' with glittered embossing powder.  Silver faux stitches are added and I embellished the large snowflake with clear gem.

Have a Heart

Hello there:

I hope the sun is shining wherever you are!

So February is just a few days away and there are many Love theme challenges.  I made a shaker card like this:

The heart shape is hand cut after I traced the shape from a template.  Both 'home' and sentiment are from the Simon Says Stamp Exclusive - Make a Home stamp set.  Inside the shaker, there are two sizes of punched hearts, pink seed beads, and red sequins.
