Altenew July 30 Days of Crafting Challenge (Day 26)

 Hello there,

It's been many days since my last post, well I have been keeping myself out of troubles by playing along Altenew July 30 Days of Crafting.  And I am adding my own twist to the challenge, instead of making cards, I have been creating in my 6x6 inches art journal.

My page for today's prompt: Day 26 - use ombre ink blending on a sentiment or background.

Instead of inking horizontally, I did it vertically; and I really like how it turned out.

Creations Scrapbook Centrale Creative Team Project 2025-Feb-11

 Hi,

I am back with another Valentine's Day theme card, this is my mid-month inspiration project for the Creations Scrapbook Centrale fb group.

One of the techniques (or ways to stretch my dies) is to dry embossed with my cutting dies.  It adds interests without the extra layers.  On this card I dry embossed a heart shape on the watering can, and a frame on the background.  Simply layer the die on paper then on a silicon mat and sandwich properly for you die cut machine and pass it thru.

Here's photos of the supplies used:

A Card Inspired by Lunar New Year

Happy Lunar New Year of the Snake!

Today I found time to play, and created a card inspired the Chinese dress button.

Since it is the Lunar New Year, I used various shades of red on my card, and of course gold shimmer is a must.

I cute strips of red card stock and did some basic quilling to form the button.

I need a lot more practice, but am happy with today's result.  The front scalloped panel is stamped using an old Stampin' Up woodblock stamp called Boho Blooms.

I am going to link up to:

Supplies:

Stampin' Up Boho Blooms Woodblock Stamp
Chou & Flowers Fond Ideogramme Clear Stamp
Stamperia Dye Ink (Burgundy)
Hero Arts Shadow Ink (Soft Granite)
My Favorite Thinkgs Die-Namics Scallop Basic Edges Die
Ranger Distress Spritz (Worn Lipstick, Fossilized Amber)
Ranger Distress Ink (Victoria Velvet)

Thanks for visiting.  Have a happy day!

Globe Shape Card

 Hi everyone,

I must admit, I was being a bit ambitious when I thought I could use a small die to a make a shaped card (non-square/rectangle).  But I did it!

I used Altenew World In Bloom Die set for my card.  The image of the earth and sentiment are from Altenew Big World stamp set.

It was a bit difficult to make the hinge for the card, but with some patience I made it work.  I must say, it's a bit delicate though.  LOL

Adventure Awaits

 Hello,

The World In Bloom Die Set from Altenew's August release really caught my eyes, and I am lucky my local stamp store already has it in the store.  So I got me a set and this is the first card I created with it.

The globe image from the Big World Stamp set is slightly smaller but with some distressing on the edge, it looks fine underneath the grid.

Creations Scrapbook Centrale Creative Team Project 2024-Aug-14

 Hi,

I am sharing a holiday card today.  It features Lawn Fawn Winter Fox stamp, so this project fits the Creations Scrapbook Centrale fb group challenge for August: Animals.

The card is a mini slim line, 3 1/2 by 6 1/2 inches.  Not too complicated, a little bit of stamping, a bit coloring, a bit of die cutting, and a bit of splatter of distress spritz.

Creations Scrapbook Centrale Creative Team Project 2024-Jul-25

 Hello, and welcome!

I am sharing a home decor project today on the Creations Scrapbook Centrale fg group page.

Don't these bright yellow Pansies bring you a smile?!

Our July challenge theme is Summer/Holiday, and an option color choice: Yellow.

After I die cut, and ink blended the shadow box pieces, I applied a coat of Feather Peacock Distress Spritz.  I love the subtle shimmer, although it is hard to see from the photo.

You're Appreciated

 Happy Friday everyone!

I have a quick share today, quick sharing, not necessary quick to create. 😊

I was inspired by how the pink and purple flowers in the background of the Altenew June 2024 Inspiration Challenge inspiration photo.

I created an ombre background with those two colors, and layered a white negative piece of the Zero-Waste Leaf Pattern die cuts.  Then I add the yellow/orange hat adorned with purple and pink flower.

Challenges:

Supplies:

Ranger Distress Ink (Picked Raspberry, Dusty Concord, Wild Honey)
Memento Dye Ink (Tuxedo Black)

Thanks for coming over to my blog.  I wish you a sweet day!

Creations Scrapbook Centrale Creative Team Project 2023-Dec-08

 Hello, hello!

Today I share a set of Christmas cards created using Spellbinders' 12 Days of Stitchmas Kit.  I went with a clean and layered look, most of the cards I used the goodie from one day, except for one.

The wavy sentiment strips were done with Spellbinders Make It Merry Sentiment Die Set.  The straight sentiment strips done using Mama Elemphant Easy Christmas Greetings & matching die.

For the background, I used various embossing folder and dies, and/or pattern paper.

These were very fun to make, and I am sure this Stitching Die Set will be used over and over!

Do you know that out of this set of dies, there are a few that could be made into an interactive card.  For example, the Day 7, the Bell; you could make the clapper moves from side to side.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a great day!

Red and Gold Floral on Die Cut Divas

 Happy December everyone!

Today I am sharing a Christmas card created using a non-traditional Christmas stamp on Die Cut Divas Challenge blog.

I used Altenew Build-a-Garden Japanese Anemone to create my project.  I first stamp the flowers on white card stock, ink blended, and then die cut.  Since the background panel I am using is black with gold splatter and gold embossing (paste), I colored the die cut's edges with a black marker.  I added a gold heat embossed sentiment, matted with black card stock, and embellished with Altenew Antique Gold sequins.

This beautiful Altenew Build-a-Garden Japanese Anemone set was generously donated by Altenew, thank you Altnew!!

Altenew is the sponsor of this month's Die Cut Divas Challenge.  And the theme is: Flowers.  So bring out your favorite flower stamps and dies and play along.

And since I got this set out I may as well make another card.

This version is more Spring-like, I use a light pink palette for it.  I also stamped the flowers twice, and trimmed off part from both, and arranged them as shown on card to fill the slimline card.

Challenges:

Supplies (for 1st card):

Ranger Distress Ink (Barn Door, Peeled Paint, Wild Honey)
Hero Arts Glimmer Metallic Gold Ink

Supplies (for 2nd card):
Altenew Dot Botanicals Clear Stamp Set
Ranger Distress Ink (Spun Sugar, Peeled Paint, Wild Honey, Crushed Olive)
Altenew Crisp Dye Ink (Purple Wine, Puffy Heart)
Hero Arts Dye Ink (Field Greens)
Nuvo Glitter Drops (Gold Coast)

Thanks for coming over to my blog.  Have a fabulous day!
