Anything Goes on Die Cut Divas

 Hello, hello!

I am sharing a Christmas card today on Die Cut Divas, for this month's challenge theme is Anything Goes.

The focal element 'Noel' is gold heat embossed on a light weight mixed media paper panel.  To create a bit of shadow, I traced the embossed image with a grey fine marker.

On the background panel, I first wet it with water, while it is drying, I randomly stamped with snowflakes in three distress inks so some images are more fuzzy than others; this way I get a bit of depth in the background.  Then the panel is adhered onto a card base with strips of glittered gold tape on the edges.

Our sponsor this month is CAS-ual Friday Stamps.  Do hop over to Die Cut Divas to get all the challenge details.

Supplies:

Ranger Distress Ink (Broken China, Tumbled Glass, Weathered Wood)
Gold Embossing Powder
Versamark Watermark Ink

That's all from me today.  Have a lovey day.

CAS tic-tac-toe on Die Cut Divas

Welcome to the first of May, and a new challenge at Die Cut Divas.

This month our challenge is a tic-tac-toe challenge.  Choose a row, a column, or diagonally from the grid and create a project using those elements.

I chose uneven edge, friendship, and flowers.  And here's what I came up with.

To create the flowers, I first apply watercolors in an ombre fashion on a light weight mix media paper in pink and green tones.  Once dried, I stamped and die cut both flowers and leaves.  From the same panel I cut a strip out and glued to the inside edge of the card.  I stamped the sentiment and then adhered the flowers and leaves, and applied a coat of clear Wink of Stella.

Hope you enjoy, and join in the challenge.  Our sponsor this month is CAS-ual Fridays.  Winner will receive $20 gift code to the CAS-ual Fridays store

Be sure to stop by Die Cut Divas Challenge Blog to check out more inspiration projects from the DT.

Coffee Journal

Hi,

To be honest, this Coffee Journal page sort of happen on it own!  LOL  I was using a blank page in my journal to soak up leftover ink when stamping.  And it sort of became a pretty mixes of colors and shapes, so I thought why not make it into a journaling page?!

Isn't it fun?!

Glittery Joy

Hi,

I took time out to play today, and made a card using my brand new Joy Stamp set from CAS-ual Fridays.

I first stamped the snowflakes using Tumbled Glass and Broken China in the background.  After it's completely dried, I heat emboss 'joy' with glittered embossing powder.  Silver faux stitches are added and I embellished the large snowflake with clear gem.

Christmas Cards 2018-dec-01

Hi,

Welcome back to my blog.  This is my second post of the day.  For my a2z Scrapbooking Challenge card, click here.

I am inspired by the current CAS-ual Friday challenge - Shades of Gold.

To create the golden look, I first distressed the leaves of the wreath with Crushed Olive, (this ink looks very similar to an Old Gold ink I used to have). I heat embossed the teapot and cup with Brass EP and watercolored with various shades of yellows and orange.  The hearts motif are painted with glimmer metallic gold ink.  And I embellished the wreath with some golden/yellow art gems.

I just love that golden shine!!!

Hi,

I have missed a few days on the coloring challenge, my mojo took a nap!  LOL  But I've received the goodies I purchased using my Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers' Bloghop Super Sponsor prize from CAS-ual Friday, naturally I broke it out of the package and played!!

I stamped the images from Peaceful Garden in Hero Arts Mid-Tone Shadow Ink Soft Granite, then colored with watercolor pencils then used a watering pen to blend the colors.  The sentiment is stamped in Tuxedo Black.
