Christmas Cards 2025-Apr-26

 Hello,

I am a little slow in adding to my Christmas card stash this year, but the Positively Poinsettias challenge over at Christmas Kickstart Challenge prompted me to create with one of my many poinsettia stamps. 😊

I used a Simon Hurly Create Peel-Apart stamp named Bold Holiday Blooms for the poinsettia panel.  I inked and clear heat embossed the leaves and flowers in separate stages, then ink blended the background.

Next I die cut it with Waffle Postage Collage Die, matted with with a dark red panel and adhere to a white card base.  I stamped some extra poinsettia blooms and leaves and hand cut, and used it as focal point.  The sentiment strip from Spellbinders Make It Merry Sentiment die set is die cut using gold foiled card stock and backed with dark red card stock.

For some final touches, I added flower center and highlight of the berries using Stamperia Old Gold Contour.

Challenge:

2024 Spellbinders 12 Days of Stitchmas - Day 8

 Hello,

Welcome back!  I am really enjoying 2024 Spellbinders 12 Days of Stitchmas Kit.  Today I share my Day 8 projects.

Here's my stitched card.

I've added from last year's (2023) stitchmas Day 6 (the bow), and one of the dies from Day 1 of this year's stitchmas kit and made it into the kite shape ornaments.  The hooks of the kite shape ornament is actually the tree topper die from Day 1, I just punched a 1/8 inch hole in the middle.

For my second card, which is the non-stitiched one, I decide today I use the die in the background instead.  I just die cut the background panel randomly with the stitching die of Day 8.

Other products I used for my cards today:

2023 Spellbinders 12 Days of Stitchmas Kit (Day 6)
Spellbiners Essential Floral Reflection Die Set
Lisa Horton Festive Postal Marks 3 D Embossing Folder
Simply Graphic Planche Bonheur Et Prosperite Clear Stamp
Versamark Watermark Ink
WOW Metallic Gold Rich Super Fine Embossing Powder
Spellbiners Crystal Mix (SCS-128)

Creations Scrapbook Centrale Creative Team Project 2024-Aug-14

 Hi,

I am sharing a holiday card today.  It features Lawn Fawn Winter Fox stamp, so this project fits the Creations Scrapbook Centrale fb group challenge for August: Animals.

The card is a mini slim line, 3 1/2 by 6 1/2 inches.  Not too complicated, a little bit of stamping, a bit coloring, a bit of die cutting, and a bit of splatter of distress spritz.

I am linking this card to:

Christmas Card 2024-Jul-25

 Hi,

I am sharing a Christmas card created using a woodblock stamp that I own since a LONG while.  It is nice to ink it up again.

I stamped in black and colored with alcohol markers.  And added stickles in some areas.  The sentiment is also stamped in black.  Here's an interesting fact about my card, the background panel is a page from a coloring book that I didn't colored, and I thought it makes a perfect backdrop for my framed Christmas icons.

Creations Scrapbook Centrale Creative Team Project 2024-Jan-27

 Hi,

Today I am sharing a Christmas card featuring an older stamp set that I have not pay enough attention to.  What prompted me to take it out from deep under the treasure pile, you ask?

Well, the January challenge theme on Creations Scrapbook Centrale fb group is: make something old new again, along with the color blue, and New Year.

Let's see my card, then I'll explain.

This 2019 Hero Arts Color Layering Nordic Tree has been waiting to be inked up again, what time is better than the present to make something old new again?  I also used a Hero Arts ombre ink pad that I've neglected for a long time.

On a white card stock panel, I stamp the base layer of the tree with the ombre ink, then gold heat embossed the detail layers and the poinsettia on top of the trees.  Next I slightly ink blended the background, then stamped the sentiment in black.  I adhered the panel to a dark navy blue panel and then onto a white card base.  I didn't use any foam adhesive, so it is perfect for snail mailing with basic postage.

One of my crafty New Year resolutions is to make matching envelope.  So I stamped the base layer with distress ink, and stamped the detail layer with gold metallic pigment ink on the flap of the envelope.

Christmas Card 2023-Jun-30

Hi, so nice to see you here.

I've been quite distracted by other things and I am seriously behind on making my holiday cards (compare to last year).  Today I got inspired by Christmas Kickstart Challenge #75 - Festive Fancy Fold.

Here's my take:

I had fun making it, while using some of my favorite products.  I used to think that I'd keep the good paper for a special project, well I snapped out of that today.  Each and every project I make is special, so I am using the good paper from now on!!  😁

Christmas Card 2023-Mar-11

 Happy Saturday everyone!

I finally sat down and made my first Christmas card of the year.

I want to thank my craft friend Linda W. for introducing the cute Lawn Fawn set to me.  I simply stamped, colored with alcohol markers, die cut, and adhered on card base which was layered with patterned paper and double stitched die stamped with sentiment.

I am going to link to a few challenges:

Supplies:

Copic Markers
Memento Dye Ink (Tuxedo Black)

That's it for now.  Have a good day!

 Hi,

A quick share of a Christmas card today.   Went out to have coffee a few days ago and got this cup.

So how could I not use it to make something?!

I hand cut it out, and add a coat of clear Wink of Stella, drew his month with gel pen.  I hand drawn his arms on white card stock, and cut.  Stamped the coffee cup (Taylor Express Today's Menu) twice and paper pieced.

Other supplies includes:

Spellbinders Essential Arches Die set,
Mini Stencils from Spellbinders (2022) Advent Calendar (day 7)
Elizabeth Craft Designs Mason Jar/Snowglobe Special,
Mama Elephant Easy Xmas Greeting Stamp & matching dies,

Christmas Cards 2022-Oct-06

 Hello there,

Are you making Christmas cards yet?  I am.  Today's card features LDRS Layered Poinsettia Die Set.  The background panel is one of many left over pieces that didn't quite work for the originally intended project, but it works here.

I first painted a watercolor panel in crimson with various values, and another in green.  After they dried I sprayed with mica stain.  This gives that wonderful shimmer.  I then die cut both flower and leaves, applied archival Acorn ink to some area to make them darker; assemble and adhere to my prepared card front.  And added the sentiment strip.

Christmas Card 2022-Sept-26

 Hi,

I am sharing another addition to my Christmas card stash.  I've just picked up Tim's Distress Mica Stain Holiday Set #3 so....

Don't you love all that shimmery goodness?!  I do!!  I sprayed Winter Frost on the house (die cut using pattern paper), Fresh Balsam on the pine branches, and Tart Cranberry on the birds.   The bird house die is an easel set, but I skipped the easel and just made it a shaped card.

And then I made a matching envelope.
