Double Z-fold card on Die Cut Divas

 Hello there,

Today I am sharing a double z-fold card on Die Cut Divas.  Our challenge theme this month is Make a Z-fold card.

I stamped and colored the images with alcohol markers, then die cut and adhere to the prepared card base.  To make the Plumeria bouquet looks fuller, I stamped, colored and die two time.  I cut up the second one into two halves, and adhered them to the back of the first one.

The sentiment die cut is from the Spellbinders 2024 Advent Calendar set, and the sequins I used to embellished the card is from the Spellbinders 2022 Advent Calendar.

The two main set of stamps and die I used, Exotic Plumerias and Poised Flamingo are Altenew, our sponsor for this month.  The challenge prize is $20 gift certificate to their store.

Now it's your turn to make some z-fold card.  You can use Altenew products and/or other company's for your project, just make sure you die cut and/or dry embossed during your creation process.  I'll see you in the challenge gallery!

Supplies:

Copic Alcohol Markers
Memento Dye Ink (Tuxedo Black)

Altenew July 30 Days of Crafting Challenge (Day 26)

 Hello there,

It's been many days since my last post, well I have been keeping myself out of troubles by playing along Altenew July 30 Days of Crafting.  And I am adding my own twist to the challenge, instead of making cards, I have been creating in my 6x6 inches art journal.

My page for today's prompt: Day 26 - use ombre ink blending on a sentiment or background.

Instead of inking horizontally, I did it vertically; and I really like how it turned out.

Supplies used shown in photo.

Globe Shape Card

 Hi everyone,

I must admit, I was being a bit ambitious when I thought I could use a small die to a make a shaped card (non-square/rectangle).  But I did it!

I used Altenew World In Bloom Die set for my card.  The image of the earth and sentiment are from Altenew Big World stamp set.

It was a bit difficult to make the hinge for the card, but with some patience I made it work.  I must say, it's a bit delicate though.  LOL

Thanks for coming over to my blog.  Have a great day!

Creations Scrapbook Centrale Creative Team Project 2024-Mar-17

 Hello there,

I am back to share another Spring theme card on the Creations Scrapbook Centrale FB group page.

The background panel was cut from a 8 1/2 x 11 inches watercolored mixed media paper and I splattered some Nuvo Pink Carnation Mica Mist on it.

The cute birdie was die cut from other pieces of that same watercolored paper.  I decided to use white leaves so that it compliment the watercolored background.  I also used thin strips of paper and built a nest for the glossy accented eggs.

Here's the watercolored pieces.

And the rest of the products used are shown below:

The bird die is from the 2023 Spellbinder Advent Calendar (Day 12).

I am linking up at:

Thanks for coming over to my blog.  Wishing you a happy day!!

Scrapbook Centrale Creative Team Project 2024-Feb-26

 Hello and Happy Monday,

I am sharing a Z fold card on the Creations Scrapbook Centrale FB group today.  This card design I relearnt in an online class (Bibi's Hummingbirds Class) given by Bibiana Cameron.

The hummingbird is water-colored and Perfect Pearl was applied to add shimmer.  The flowers are die cut from pattern paper.  The die cut shape is stenciled.

I decorated the inside of the card as well.  And I am keeping up with my New Year Craft resolution of making a matching envelope with my card.

Supplies used for my card are shown below:

Thanks for visiting.  Bye for now.

Creations Scrapbook Centrale Creative Team project 2024-jan-17

 Hello there,

It's my turn to share a project on the Creations Scrapbook Centrale FB group today, and we have multiple challenge themes for January: New Year, the color Blue, Make Something Old New again!

For this new year, I actually have a few crafty New Year Resolutions.  One of them is to make/decorate a matching envelope with my cards.

I used a set of new (to me) stencil and a couple of older stamps to create this monochromatic birthday card.

I stenciled my background, then splattered some metallic watercolor (Bronze) on it, then I heat embossed the sentiment with Bronze embossing powder.  I distressed and ink blended the edges of the panel, and glued to a white top fold card base.  Next I adhered the die but banner (Day 11 goodie from 2022 Spellbinder Advent Calendar), and the cake which was stamped, colored with alcohol markers, and hand cut.  I embellished with a few Antique Gold sequins.

For the matching envelope, I stenciled the flap.

Supplies used shown in photos below:

Thanks for coming over to my blog.  Cheers!

Sakura Art Journal on Die Cut Divas

 Hi,

I am sharing an art journal page featuring Altenew Stunning Sakura bundle (stamp, stencil, and die).

When it was first released in March 2023, I knew right away that's a set I want for my travelling album.  I bought it and it's been waiting for me to use.  Long story short, travelling album on the back burner, but I made a simple art journal page with it.

The substrate was dry embossed and ink blended with Crushed Olive and Tumbled Glass in an ombre fashion.  Then I adhere the cherry blossoms and frame.

The cherry blossoms were stamped in black, inked with matching stencils, and die cut.  Inside the New Day Heart Frame die, I adhere a little panel (framed with black) stamped with an older Altenew set: Under The Cherry Blossom Tree.

I hope you enjoy my page, and that I've inspired you to come and join in our December challenge on Die Cut Divas Challenge blog.  Theme this month: Flowers.  Pull out your favorite floral stamps and have some fun.  Remember to use your die cut machine during the process in order to qualify for the draw.

More details could be found on Die Cut Divas.

Red and Gold Floral on Die Cut Divas

 Happy December everyone!

Today I am sharing a Christmas card created using a non-traditional Christmas stamp on Die Cut Divas Challenge blog.

I used Altenew Build-a-Garden Japanese Anemone to create my project.  I first stamp the flowers on white card stock, ink blended, and then die cut.  Since the background panel I am using is black with gold splatter and gold embossing (paste), I colored the die cut's edges with a black marker.  I added a gold heat embossed sentiment, matted with black card stock, and embellished with Altenew Antique Gold sequins.

This beautiful Altenew Build-a-Garden Japanese Anemone set was generously donated by Altenew, thank you Altnew!!

Altenew is the sponsor of this month's Die Cut Divas Challenge.  And the theme is: Flowers.  So bring out your favorite flower stamps and dies and play along.

And since I got this set out I may as well make another card.

This version is more Spring-like, I use a light pink palette for it.  I also stamped the flowers twice, and trimmed off part from both, and arranged them as shown on card to fill the slimline card.

Challenges:

Supplies (for 1st card):

Ranger Distress Ink (Barn Door, Peeled Paint, Wild Honey)
Hero Arts Glimmer Metallic Gold Ink

Supplies (for 2nd card):
Altenew Dot Botanicals Clear Stamp Set
Ranger Distress Ink (Spun Sugar, Peeled Paint, Wild Honey, Crushed Olive)
Altenew Crisp Dye Ink (Purple Wine, Puffy Heart)
Hero Arts Dye Ink (Field Greens)
Nuvo Glitter Drops (Gold Coast)

Thanks for coming over to my blog.  Have a fabulous day!

 Hello,

I am super delighted to be Playing Cards with Michele today.  And here's the deed:

Use a favorite product, stamp, die, or technique you love!
Deliver that card to someone who brings happiness into your life -

August is National Happiness Happens Month!  So I do hope this card will make someone happy!!  Psst btw, this card is already sent out by snail mail.

Floral image always makes me happy, I chose Altenew Craft Your Life Project Kit: Always Sunshine to be the key element of my card.  I used both the matching stencil and stamp set to add color to the outline image.

The ombre colored background panel is dry embossed.  No, I didn't ink blend the background panel, it's from the gradients slimline paper pad (Studio Light).

The sentiment (from Simon Says Stamps Kind Flower Stamp set) is black heat embossed on vellum.  To embellish the card I added a few Altenew Glacier Caves enamel dots.

Thank you, Michele for inviting me to play cards with you.  Now, my dear readers, please hop over to Michele's blog: I Card Everyone and see what Michele created for us.

CAS Flower Challenge

 Hi,

It is always nice to use some extra pieces left over from another project to create a new one.  I have a left over stem of Lily of the Valley from my last project.  I die cut some leaves and colored with alcohol markers.  Then glue them onto a white card base that's been dry embossed with a cutting die.  I also cut the corners to add interest.  Added a sentiment strip et voila!

The Flower Challenge #82 - Clean & Simple

Memento Dye Ink (Tuxedo Black)
Copic Markers

Watercolor Mini Gerbera on Die Cut Divas

 Hi there,

Hope you're doing well.  It's April 1st, but I am just sharing a pretty card, no joke.

April's challenge theme on Die Cut Divas is Watercolors!  Yay, watercolor is one of my favorite media.  Our sponsor is Altenew, and the challenge prize is:

Artists' Watercolor 24 Pan Set valued at $49.99 USD

For my card, I used the Altenew Mini Gerbera stamp set.  I stamped the flowers and leaves on a light weight mix media paper, applied watercolored, and hand cut.

I simply applied watercolor onto the flowers, did not take time to put shadow down on all the petals, just had fun with it.  After the watercolor dried, I choose an alcohol marker with similar color and just added shadow in the center, and that was good enough for me.  I am really not trying to make the flowers looks like they were photographed.

I added some glamour glitter to the center of the flowers for more interests.  Then I adhered them to a card front, on which I stenciled, and die cut.

I glue one flower in the inside of the card to dress it up.  And it's fun to see that flower thru the die cut window on the front.  I added the sentiment banner, and embellished with Warm Grey enamel dots.

Supplies:

Ranger Distress Inks (Weathered Wood, Milled Lavender)
Ranger Archival Ink (Watering Can)
Memento Dye Ink (Tuxedo Black)

Thanks for stopping by.  Be sure to hop over to Die Cut Divas to see more inspiration projects.  Have a fabulous day!
