Lotus and Koi

 Happy Saturday everyone!

It's crafting time!  😁  I made another mini slimline card today.

First time using my Hero Floral Lotus Stamp set.  I stamped and watercolored the flower and leaves on a light weight mix media paper, then die cut.  I use the same weight paper and trimmed a card base and watercolored and stamped the background (water and Koi).  And I hand drew some stems for the flower and leaves, and some underwater grass. I also used a white gel pen to highlight the surface of the water. I glue the lotus flower and leaves in the last step to complete the card.

Enjoy The Little Things

 Hello, hello!

At the end of 2020, I've won a gift card from Funky Fossil Designs in the 2020 Fall/Winter Coffee Blog Hop.  Among my purchases using the gift card is the Windy Day Slimline Stencil, and it's about time I take it out of it's package and ink it up!

I simply wet a piece of mix media paper and drop some watercolors and let it dry, and this peaceful, soft and calm background happened!!  To complete it, I stencil the tree, stamped the foliage and greeting.

Christmas Cards 2021-Feb-04

 Hi,

I inked up a new stamp set (to me), Funky Fossil Designs Festive Penguins, and made a slimline card today.  These penguins are so cute!!

For my background panel I first masked the lower half of it with a hand cut mask, and stenciled with Sea Sprite Glacier Paste after it dried, I blended a few distress inks to give colors.  Then I masked the top half, and applied Snow & Ice Lustre Poslish to make a frosty ground.

The penguins, sleigh, and presents are stamp in black on mixed media paper, watercolored and handcut.  Sentiment on banner die cut is stamped in black and clear heat embossed, and I added gold faux stitches.
