Christmas cards 2022-Jul-26

Hi,

I bet you'd agree with me if I say we all want to stretch our craft supplies.  My project today is the result of stretching my craft supplies.

I had so much making this Christmas Fishes snow globe.   How did I stretch my supply?  You see, the snow glode is actually Lawn Fawn Magic Iris Snow Globe add-on.  However the opening for the Magic Iris is a bit small to use as a snow globe, so I use a round die and cut a bigger opening, and voila, a regular snow globe.  And I've made it shaker card.

Christmas cards 2021-Dec-17

Happy Friday!!

It's been a couple years since I started making Christmas cards all year long, and I am liking it.  Definitely takes away lots of stress when the holiday season is getting closer and closer.  And I am very proud to say that all my cards that needs to be mailed are all out on their journeys to their destinations!  😊😇

So will the card I share today be used this year or the next?

I must say the focal point of this card is not the die cuts, but the pattern paper.  To make the "joy" stands out more, I applied Vintage photo next to letters.  I also addes faux stitches around the letters.  The die cuts were more the embellishments, and I splatter gold ink and white paint all over it.

Christmas Cards 2021-Feb-04

 Hi,

I inked up a new stamp set (to me), Funky Fossil Designs Festive Penguins, and made a slimline card today.  These penguins are so cute!!

For my background panel I first masked the lower half of it with a hand cut mask, and stenciled with Sea Sprite Glacier Paste after it dried, I blended a few distress inks to give colors.  Then I masked the top half, and applied Snow & Ice Lustre Poslish to make a frosty ground.

The penguins, sleigh, and presents are stamp in black on mixed media paper, watercolored and handcut.  Sentiment on banner die cut is stamped in black and clear heat embossed, and I added gold faux stitches.

Christmas Cards 2021-Jan-19

 Hi,

I took my time and simply enjoyed the process of making a card with (new to me) Altenew Sophisticated Wreath Stamp & Die.

I stamped and die everything, arranged into a Christmassy wreath, added sentiment strip, and splattered with gold ink.  Once dried, I adhered it to a card base which has gold splattered pattern paper panel affixed. Lastly I applied some Sprinkled Sugar Stickles to the "berries" and flowers.

Do you see some dimension on the flowers?  I took the time to curl each so they are not flat.  I like how this turn out, and I'd definitely make more.  😀

 Hi,

I am sharing another additon to my Christmas cards stash today.  I gold embossed Simon Says Stamp Center Cut Holiday Floral and watercolored.

I didn't have the right size circle die for the center, but luckily I recieved the Spellbinders Elegant Twist Circles Die from Virginia Lu (prize of her 2020 September Show & Share Challenge), and it's perfect for my card.  Thanks so much Virginia!!

Christmas Cards 2020-Oct-19

 Hello there,

Welcome back to my blog. Yes I've got another Christmas card to share today.  This one I made using a negative piece left from another project.

The embossed frame is left over from this project, and I didn't want to discard it.  So on a white card base I did an ink blend background and adhere three poinsettias and white pine branches.  And I top it off with the frame.  And stamped in Soft Grey a matching envelope.
