Scrapbook Centrale Creative Team Project 2023-Mar-03

 Happy Friday!

It's my turn to post on Creation Scrapbook Centrale FB page today.  Our March challenge theme: The Arts.  For the first week of March, we concentrate on using Embossing Powder and Watercolors in our art projects.

I first created the 'watercolor look' background by 'ink-smooshing' with distress inks.  Next I stamped the floral image with Soft Granite Shadow ink.  Then I used Tim Holtz's Distress Watercolor Pencil to color the stamp, spritz with water and stamp.  I did it in several passes once with each of the different colors.  After the stamped images is dried, I stamped with watermark ink and clear embossed it.

The clear embossing intensified the watercolored image.

Next came the rest of the stamping, the large butterfly, and the post marks.  I distressed the edges and added sentiment banners.  Lastly I adhereed to a warm grey card base.

Main supplies in the photos below.

Thanks for coming over, have an crafty day!!

Book Adventure on Die Cut Divas

 Happy March everyone!

I am sharing a '3D' card today on Die Cut Divas.  No, this is not the challenge theme for our March challenge on Die Cut Divas, it's actually Anything Goes.

I used one of the images from the Scrapflower Estudio Reading Nordic Gnome Digital Stamp set for my project.

I printed it three times and hand cut, the base layer has everything, 2nd layer only contains the reading Gnome, and top layer only the book.  Foam adhesive is added to raise each layer to create a '3D' look.  The images were colored with alcohol markers.

My card base has been dry embossed with an Altenew Narrow Brick stencil and then ink blended.  The plant is from a Hero Arts set called Layered Topiary, the sentiment is also from Hero Arts.  The light is from Technique Tuesday.

Our March sponsor on Die Cut Divas is Scrapflower Estudio.  Challenge winner will receive 4 digital image of their choice.

Now it's your turn, grab your favorite craft supplies and play along.  Remember to use your die cut machine in the process to either die cut something and/or dry emboss something.  See you in the challenge gallery!  Click here to link up.

Other challenge I am linking to:

Hero Arts Love Books Clear Stamp Set
Ranger Distress Ink (Weathered Wood, Squeezed Lemonade, Peeled Paint, Bundled Sage)

Woodblock Wednesday Jan 2023

 Hi,

I am joining Amy Tsuruta for Woodblock Wednesday today.  I used one of my oldest woodblock stamp (Floating Hearts) sent to me by Hero Arts after I entered their 'mail-in' card challenge even though I didn't win.  Their kind act encouraged me to keep on trying.

I created the main panel with heat embossing, watercoloring, and masking; and matted it with a couple layer of card stock.  Very simple.  But I did add a coat of glossy accent on the red heart.

Woodblock I used are:

Hero Arts Floating Hearts F2818
Hero Arts Old Letter Writing S4878

Other supplies includes:
Hero Arts Mid-tone Shadow ink (Wet Cement)
Versamark Watermark Ink
Brass Embossing Powder
Glossy Accent

So Dam Much on Die Cut Divas

 Hi,

Hope you're all enjoying the New Year!  It's my turn today to post on Die Cut Divas today.  This month's challenge theme is: Valentine's Day.

Our sponsor is Lawn Fawn, and they make the cutest stamps!!

My mini slimline project features one of the very cute stamps from their 2023 Valentine's release.  Let's take a look.

I had so much fun putting this scene together.  The background panel is pattern paper from Lawn Fawn (Watercolor Wishes Rainbow), I didn't have to do much, just die cut with Large Mini Slimline Stackables and darken a little with distress ink at the bottom.

I die cut some "branches" using brown cardstock and built the dam for the hugging beavers.  The stamped images are colored with Copic markers.

While I got my Lawn Fawn pile out, I made a second project; a mini slimline shaker card.

I used the Large Mini Slimline Stackable and die cut the frame, then a bunch of hearts using the Candy Hearts die set to place inside the shaker.  I use smaller heart shape from other sets to cut the smaller hearts as part of the shaker bits.  I even stamped the inside.

I hope I have inspired you to play along.  Hop over to Die Cut Divas to get all the details.

And I am playing along these challenges:

(Lawn Fawn So Dam Much Clear stamp & Lawn Cuts are new)

Supplies:

Copic Markers
Memento Dye Ink (Tuxedo Black)
Ranger Distress Ink (Uncharted Mariner)

Thanks for coming over.  Have a very sweet day!

Missing You

 Hi,

It's the weekend and I get to spend time in my craft room.  Okay I am always there anyway.  LOL

I admit I was light handed with the watercolors.  But it's okay.  I am quite delighted on how it turned out.  The 'trellis' is actually stenciled with two inks, and I hand cut the openings.

My card is inspired by a Laelia Orchid plant that didn't survive my care.  I have been pretty lucky with my other orchid plants in general, they have been blooming every year.  But this one (picture below) I miss very much.  And I haven't been able to find another just like it.

Here's a side by side look:

Challenges:

Supplies:

Ranger Archival Ink (Jet Black, Watering Can)
Ranger Distress Ink (Peeled Paint, Weather Wood)
Hero Arts Mid-tone Shadow Ink (Wet Cement)

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a very sweet day!

2018 Spring + Summer Coffee Bloghop card 7

Hi,

On this day seven of the 2018 Spring + Summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop, I created a card using the Uniko I Love Tea set (which I was lucky enough to have won during the last summer hop).  The set is so pretty, I just stamped the tea cups and motif on some pattern paper, touched up with Copic markers, hand cut and adhered to pattern paper background stamped with sentiment.

I am inspired by this photo for Uniko Challenge #47 and am playing along.

Other challenges:

Supplies:

Copic Markers (YR25, YR95, RV63, RV66)
Memento Dye Ink (Tuxedo Black)

Thanks for visiting.  I wish you a sweet day!

I've Been Thinking

Hi,

I've been thinking to play a few challenges, however one thing lead to another, it was only a thought.  But I realized it today.  The layout comes from CAS(E) this Sketch, the color scheme from Altenew.

The flowering branch is gold heat embossed and then watercolored.  Then I scored the horizontal lines, then stamped the sentiment.  Lastly I added some shimmering speckles using Twinkling H2O watercolors.
