Embroidered Floral

 Happy Monday everyone!!

I present to you a very special project today.

I stamped the outline image of Altnew & Pinkfresh Collaboration Celebrate Us Stamp set onto a wash cloth and embroidered.

I really didn't plan anything, I just stamped and went right into it.   I had fun, and realized I could improve the next time.  Here's a close up.

Challenges:

30 Day Coloring (Jul17)

So my original plan of using the alcohol inked panel (done yesterday) on my alcohol inked art journal page does not work because they are of the same pattern and same color scheme.  Hence I went ahead and made another alcohol inked panel using the darker tones.  Then I die cut Poppystamps Marcelle Flower from it and add to my page.  I also added a heat embossed sentiment from the Simon Says Stamps Lovely Spring set.

Now you must have noticed that green ink, it dripped from the page behind (for the 13th).  I didn't put it there on purpose, but it's okay, the green makes the red looks more red!  LOL

Other challenges:

Supplies:

Simon Says Stamp Lovely Spring Clear Stamp Set
Ranger Tim Holtz alcohol inks (Water Melon, Sunset Orange, Sunshine Yellow, Lettuce, Stream,  Cranberry, and Eggplant)
Ranger Spun Sugar Distress Ink
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
Clear Emobossing Powder

Thanks for checking out my blog.  See you again soon!

Red Poinsettia Tag

Hi,

Short post, I am sharing a tag created for a couple challenges.

Virginia's View Challenge #25 - Stripes and Plaid

25 Days of Christmas Tags by Tracey McNeely

The Heart Desires Challenge #6

And here's my tag.

I was inspired by several artists who use poinsettia on their tags on Day 4 of the 25 Days of Christams Tags.

I stamped the plaid panel using Hero Arts cling stamp Canvas Stripes with Barn Door, Peeled Paint, and Antique Linen.  Trimmed and adhered to red tag, and added a fussy cut poinsettia flower which was painted with Twinkling H2Os on gold embossed outline.  The stamp is by Bonnidee.

Birthday Hugs

Happy Saturday everybody!

I am sharing a glittery card today, just got a couple new dies from the SSS DieCember Collection so obviously I couldn't wait to play with them.

I die cut them on Sookwang adhered cardstock, peel off sections of the die, apply and burnish the glitter (Cool Diamond, Yellow,Limetreuse, Merlot, and Marigold).  Working one colour at a time.  It took a little bit of time but I think it's well worth the efforts.  I stamped "birthday" from Avery Elle's Simply Said: Happy set and embellished with few sequins from Little Things from Lucy's Cards's Fruit Sorbet Sparkly Shaker Selection.

Christmas card

Hello there, mid week already!!  Are you enjoying your week?

If you are looking for my 100th Post Celebration giveaway, click Here.

I am seriously late on making my Christmas cards this season, web served too much!!  :P

Got one card done today.  Speckled texture background using embossing pasted mixed with Pearl acrylic paint, inked poinsettia with distress and dye ink and heat embossed greetings.  Simple enough.  Let's take a look:

I think I was a little heavy handed when adding the Wink of Stella onto my flower, it's so glittery that it becomes fuzzy in the photo.  I promise you it looks much better in real life.  Here's another shot:

A scramble card

Say what!  A scramble card?

For those who don't know, a scramble card is a card made for a scramble challenge (must make card using given theme, take photo, upload and link to challenge post all under 90 minutes) hosted by volunteering Hero Arts flickr group members.

Today's challenge is hosted by paperpicnic(Jayne), the theme is Card on Card, you can check out the details here.

close up of inside the mini card

I inked Hero Arts Garden Flowers by Lia set using four distress ink (Old Paper, Squeezed Lemonade, Crushed Olive, Peeled Paint) and stamp on white CS to create an "ombre" look for the background, and distress the edges with Crushed Olive.

Then I stamped the book shape from the Hero Arts I Love Books set in Tuxedo Black twice on Hot Pink CS and hand cut.  Next I stamp the greetings with Unicorn and heat embossed with white EP on one of the book shape panel.  Die cut the "congrats" using the Stamp and Cut Congrats set and adhere the other.   Then attache both panel to make into mini card.  Add mini card to card and embellish with mini flower sequins by Simon Says Stamp.

I am going link up to Virginia's View Challenge#15 - Ombre/Monochromatic

And since I colour something today, also linking up to Kathy's 30 Day Colour Challlenge.

Large Lotus Pattern

Hello my crafty friends, how are you doing today?

I am happy to report a few of the Crocus bulb I planted last fall is blooming!!  They sure brighten up this gray, rainy day today!!

Now onto my card, I used Hero Arts Large Lotus Pattern stencil on the background by inking over the stencil.  Then onto a piece water colour paper panel, I use embossing paste and sprinkled glitter powder on top.  Voila!!

I love the glittery shine!  The colours I used are Merlot, Marigold, and Yellow (even though it is more green looking than yellow).  Distress ink (Crushed Olive) is used for the background.

Tropical floral

Hi there,

I was away last week and without internet, so it was a bit tough not able to stroll in blogland!  :)  So a lot of catching up to do this week and when I saw CASology's cue word "Tropical" I knew I want to play with my 15 year old Stampendous Hibiscus flower stamp!  Cause nothing speaks tropical to me more than the sight of a Hibiscus flower!!  It's an outline stamp, so perfect for me to play along Kathy's 30 Day Colouring Challenge.  I also want to play for the Tag You're It! Challenge, and Virginia's View Challenge #13 - All Things Embossed.

Here's my card:

For this card I tried a new colouring method after I saw Jennifer's Coloring With Pigment Ink video on her blog.  Oh yes I used my fingers to ink the flowers and then embossed with clear EP.  All other stamped images are embossed with clear EP as well.  This is a close up you could see the flower is covered with EP.

Small Scale Shaker

Hi, welcome back!

It's been a while since I last played the challenge over at A Blog Name Hero.  Their current challenge is Small Scale - meaing to use small section of your card, small pieces or small-scaled items.  So I thought I'd combine this challenge theme together with Virginia's View Challenge #12 - Shaker Card to create a small scale shaker card.

Flower and leaves stamp from Hero Arts.  Cutting die for shaker element is also from Hero Arts.  Sentiment is Technique Tuesday.  The veins on the transparency are hand drawn using black gel pen.
