2022 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Bloghop

Hello there,

I am playing along 2022 Fall/Winter Coffee Lovers Bloghop.  This time around, we don't have to make it a Fall/Winter theme, just project with coffee/tea/cocoa will do.  And here's what I came up with.

On a watercolor background panel, I stenciled with Funky Fossil Designs' Caffeine Buzz.   Added twine I dye using Stamperia Coffee Dye Ink. I used the same ink and created a 'matching' panel, adhere to card base.  And embellished with a faux wax seal created using Spellbinders Faux Wax Seal Stamp & Die set; the coffee cup image in the middle of the seal is from Concord & 9th Coffee Blend Turnabout Stamp Set.

Thanks for coming over to my blog, have a cozy day!

Coffee Christmas Card

I don't know what has happen, but I got so seriously distracted this week...

I used a digi stamp named Cozy Winter Background by Rachel Vass Designs for this fun card.  Nothing complicate, I printed, color with alcohol markers, die cut, tie sentiment tag, and adhere to a dry embossed card base.  Voila!

One good thing about digi stamps, no need to wait for the snail mail delivery. Instant download!!   Rachel has more coffee image in the her store.

If you're like me, rushing in the last minute, digi stamp is a great choice.  Check these out:  Coffee BreakSketchy Rose Teacups, Gnome One Like You, Sweather Weather ... etc all great for coffee/tea/hot cocoa related projects.

Altenew Academy Creative Coloring with Erum Lesson 2 Homework

Happy Monday everyone!!

In lesson 2 of Altenew Academy Creative Coloring with Erum we learnt to add texture to our projects.  Textures like embossing paste or visual.

For my homework, I created a visual texture in the background and added embossing paste.

I created the wood texture by adding watercolor to a mixed media paper panel, starting with a light wash, and then slowly added in layers of colors changing from wet brush to dry brush.  This is how it looks like before I added embossing paste.

Here's a close up of the focal elements.

Staedtler Karat Watercolor Pencils
Ranger Archival Ink (Jet Black)

I die cut my two cups using Hero Arts Nesting Tea Cup Infinitiy Dies and Hero Arts Coffee Cup Tag Frame cut with pattern paper.  Then I stamped the steam using the seaweed image from Hero Arts Color Layering Goldfish with white ink on a dark blue card panel, then mask the steam and splattered Hero Arts Glimmer Metallic Gold Ink on the panel.  Next I gold heat embossed the sentiment, added a pattern paper striped at the bottom, adhere my die cut cups and glue the panel onto a white card base.  Et voila!

If you ask me what's my favorite ..., my answer is Coffee!  :D  Oh, and cup cakes!

I got this free download from STAMPlorations (designed by Shery Russ).  I printed it on heavy weight white card stock, colored with alcohol markers, hand cut and adhere to this fun pattern paper.  I thought it worked out just fine.  :)

I added some texture by spreading some embossing paste on the cupcake icing, and went over the "white chocolate swirls" on the chocolate covered strawberry with a white gel pen.  By the way, I didn't colored the body of the cup, but stamped little hearts instead.
