Magical Birthday

 Hello, and welcome back!

I am inspired by Samantha and her "i carrot 'bout you" interactive card, and I am casing her card today.  You could check out her blog: Sam's Scrap Candy, and her interactive card video here.

I used Lawn Fawn A Little Sparkle and My Rainbow plus the Reveal Wheel for my card.

Just like what Samantha did in her project, I extended the reveal window, so the unicorn could be moved forward and backward.

I did some surgery to a Spellbinders stamp set, and make up the sentiment.  One of my new year craft resolutions is to make a matching envelope, but today I am so excited to share my project, I had forgotten all about that.  LOL  But I think I will stamp some more images, and turn them into stickers I could use to seal the envelope.

I miss my mom, lost her close to 6 years now.  But today I want to celebrate all the other moms in my life.  

I am not sure how to call this technique, but I was inspired by a fellow stamper, Frederic Gabay in the Creation Scrapbook Centrale fb group and he was inspired by Tim Holtz's video.

Christmas Cards 2019-Jan-11

Hello,

The weather here is cold, sunny and sparkly, perfect inspiration for Christmas cards!  I gave my Hero Arts Dazzling Snowflake stamp some inky love and made two cards. 

I heat embossed it with Gold Glitter Embossing Powder first on kraft card stock, and I thought the Gold Glittered didn't show well, so I did another on just white card stock.  What do you think? 

I didn't want the sentiment to compete with the snowflake but want to keep the same color scheme, so I just heat embossed it in gold embossing powder.

Christmas Cards 2017-apr-24

Happy Monday,

It's time to play and to add to my Christmas card stash.  I make two cards today.

First up, gold heat embossed Hero Arts Stunning Snowflakes on kraft CS, die cut and layered over card base stamped with Winnie & Walter's Let It Snow using Hero Arts Ombre Vintage Metallic ink.  The gold embossed snowflake on kraft does not stand out so I thought I'd add color to make embossing popped, but it didn't.  So I die cut the center out and use vellum for the sentiment placeed behind the opening.

Next, a shaped card, basic white heat embossed Hero Arts Stunning Snowflakes on kraft and die cut.  But I need a way to add a sentiment, so I used the cut out from my first card and layered it on top.  I used a white gel pen to add some dots to add interests.
