Christmas In July on Die Cut Divas take-two

 Hello again,

I am sharing another project on Die Cut Divas today, for July's theme: Christmas In July.

Elizabeth Craft Designs is our sponsor, the challenge winner will receive a $25 gift card to their store.

Here's a slimline card.

I started with an ink-blended card base.  Then I die cut white cardstock with double sided adhesive the various snowflakes, peeled off the backings and covered them with Cool Diamond glitter.  Next I glued the snowflakes on the card front, trimmed off the hanging parts, added sentiment stripe with Lavender metallic twine.

While I got the die cut machine out, I went ahead and made a second card, a mini slimline card featuring Elizabeth Craft Snowflake Border Die.  Again I kept it quite simple by layering the die cut panel on a white card base.  The white heat embossed sentiment is from the Penny Black Hanging Treasures stamp set.

Supplies:

Ranger Distress Ink (Tumbled Glass, Prize Ribbon, Picked Raspberry)
Versamark Watermark Ink Pad
White Embossing Powder

Thanks for stopping by, I wish you a lovely day!

Christmas Cards 2021-Jan-26

 Hello,

Sometimes I am not sure if it is a good idea to post my Christmas cards on social media.  May be the future recipient(s) would have already seen it and the surprise element is not there when they open that envelope?!  What are your thoughts on that?

I am playing along the last CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge, even though I didn't play it very often I know I would miss it very much!

Challenges:

Supplies:

Penny Black Christmas Banners Cling Stamp
Hero Arts Winter Cheers Tag Set by Lia
KaiserCraft Snowflakes Embossing Folder
Ranger Distress Inks (Picked Raspberry, Mustard Seed, Broken China)
Ranger Star Dust Stickles

2017 Fall Coffee Lovers' Bloghop project 5

I am on my project number 5 for the 2017 Fall Coffee Lovers' Blobhop.  For today's card I used two Altenew clear stamp sets and one Hero Arts set.

I am quite happy how it turned out.  And the technique is simple.  I stamped all the images on watercolor paper and thick card stock with Archival ink.  For the background I wet each area where I want color with water first, then slightly add watercolor.  The small leaves are stamped with distress ink.  On the banner, the sentiment is stamped directly onto the vellum.  The coffee press and macaroons are stamped on cream color CS, watercolored, trimmed and adhered.  I use a decorative stitch die on the edge of the banner.  You may see it better in the close up.

Christmas Cards 2017-feb-26

Good Sunday morning,

I promised myself I would use my pattern paper more and make Christmas cards ahead of time this year.  Yup I am still making it happen!!  :)

Card today for the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge #236 - Stockings.

I went with a CAS design using my pattern paper.  Did some light stamping in the background, and use stickles to jazz up the stockings.

Sentiment stamp from Penny Black, stocking stamp from Inkadinkado.

Thanks for visiting.  Happy stamping!

Candy Canes

Welcome back to my blog.

I am sharing a card created for the Die Cut Diva's challenge blog, our October theme is Embossing.

The digital image I used is called Candy Cane Corner by The Stamping Boutique.  I copied and pasted the image twice on a file, used my image editor to manipulate it so that one of them is facing the other direction.  I first colored them with coloring pencils, then stamp and heat emboss the surrounding area.  I trimmed it slightly smaller to fit my card base.  Then I stamped, heat embossed, and die cut the sentiment and adhered to card.

Supplies:

Digital image: Candy Cane Corner
Coloring pencils
Penny Black clear stamp - Sentimental
Simon Says Stamp - Congratulations
Vera Mark watermark ink
Gold embossing powder
My Favorite Things  Die-namics - Stitched Rec STAX

Thanks for stopping by!  I wish you a lovely day!

Another oldie

It's already Day 13 of Kathy's 30 Day Colouring Challenge.

Although I only jumped in a few days ago I am having lots of fun taking this challenge.  Colouring is good therapy!!  Today I played with another oldie, it's call Pansy Parade from Penny Black.

I coloured the image with Copic Marker today, I am not sure how I would use the image/panel yet, but I want to share it anyway.  I told photos along the way, hope you don't mind seeing them.
