Bunny and Guinea on Die Cut Divas

 Hello there,

It's my turn to share another inspiration project on Die Cut Divas Challenge Blog today.  Our April's challenge theme is: Make a Spring Card.

Hmm.. does bunny make you think of Spring.  It does to me.

I printed the cute Bunny & Guinea: Smile digital stamp from RAM Stamps on white card stock, colored with alcohol makers, and die cut.  I used a white gel pen and added dots around the edges just to give a bit of details.

Sponsor of Die Cut Diva's April challenge is RAM Stamps.  The challenge prize is $10 gift certificate to their store.

So how does your Spring card look like?  Grab your favorite craft supplies and create a Spring card, and share with us at Die Cut Divas.  Remember to use your die cut machine in the process to qualify for the prize drawn.  If the Spring theme of your card is not obvious, do tell us what makes it a Spring card somewhere in the description of your card.

Supplies:

Alcohol markers
Memento Dye Ink (Tuxedo Black)
Ranger Distress Ink (Tumbled Glass, Peeled Paint)
White gel pen

Rachel Vass Designs In Love Rose

 Happy Friday's Eve!!

Today's project is brought to you by Rachel Vass Designs!  :)  I used stamp set In Love Rose for my project, and I've created a faux tile card.

I've learnt this technique a long time ago, but have not been practising a lot.  But I thought this beautiful digi stamp deserve a special treat.  Wink!!

The image is printed on white card stock and colored with
Copic markers.  Then I cut the panel into four and glue onto a Sage color card panel.  Next I stamp Versamark ink all over and coated it with Stampendous Deep Impression clear embossing powder and heat set.  I repeat this process three times, and it created that glossy tile look.

To create the sentiment tag, I printed the sentiment on white card stock, trim and partial die cut both ends.  The tag is also heat emboss with the same embossing powder twice and then it mounted on a matching shaped panel and embellished with a couple gems I dye with alcohol ink.

The In Love Rose digi stamp is really lovely, don't you think?

Supplies:

Copic Markers
Versamark Wetermark Ink
Stampendous Deep Impression Clear Embossing Powder

Thanks for coming over to see me.  Have a great day!

Rachel Vass Designs' Cup Of Joe

 Happy Saturday y'all!

Rachel Vass Designs' latest release is call Cup Of Joe, it's so pretty!

And here's my project using it.

I printed the image on white mixed media paper, and watercolored.  I did a partial cut on the panel and layer it on a burlap pattern paper stamped with coffee beans.  I am happy with the result except the coffee art is a little "unprofessional" though.  LOL

I thought this set came out just in time for the National Coffee Day Bloghop, September 29th, there's going to be 31 Super Sponsors hopping, and Rachel Vass Designs is one of them.  Be sure to come back here to catch more details or go visit Rachel's blog: Rachel Vass Designs.  In the mean time, check out all her beautiful stamps, including this newly released one at her Etsy store, click here.

Coffee and Craft

 Happy Thursday everybody!

Yesterday I spent in the yard, so today it is going to be a "coffee, craft, nap, repeat" kind of day!  LOL

The main image is a digital stamp set call Coffee Break Time by Rachel Vass Designs.

My background is stamped with Crackling Campfire, Wild Honey, and Peeled Paint.  My first attempt to stamp with smooshed ink didn't quite work, I just got blot of inks.  Then I used inking tool to apply ink on the stamp, very lightly spritzed with water before stamping, this time I got the soft watercolor look and yet kept the details.  And finally I stamped some hearts with Worn Lipstick, and faux stitches with black.

Challenges:

Supplies:

Ranger Distress Inks (Crackling Campfile, Wild Honey, Peeled Paint, Antique Linen)
Hero Arts Soft Green Shadow Ink
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
White Gel Pen

Rachel Vass Designs Bold And Beautiful

 Happy Wednesday everyone!!

I have a bold and warm card to share today.  Long story short, my original plan of using Rachel Vass Designs' Bold And Beautiful Digital Stamp didn't work out.  To recover the warm blooms I'd already colored with Copic markers, I hand but them and then created this very dimensional card instead.

I adhere some white die cut leaves to the back of the flowers, and attached to a black patterned panel, then onto a white card base.  Since I didn't add any sentiment onto the card front, I think this card works in both landscape form and portrait.  Which one do you prefer?

Rachel Vass Designs Bulbs Of Flowers

Watt's up everybody?!

Rachel Vass Designs' newest release is call Bulbs of Flowers.  It is a really fun one.  Don't you think?

I chose the middle image and created a mesh shaker card.

The flowers are colored in Copic markers, and I distressed the inside of the bulb and the background with Mustard Seed and Milled Lavender.

To create the shaker part, I cut along the outline of the bulb and left the top part intact.  I slipped a piece of mesh in between the card front and the bulb image, and secure it with tape.  Working with the card front side down, I lift the bulb up and placed some small Simon Says Stamps metallic sequins onto the mesh, then close the bulb part down and seal with tape.   Then I flipped the card back (card front facing up now) and applied glossy accent to close the opening where the mesh meet the top of the bulb.

Do you know that we have a Rachel Vass Designs Fan Page on Facebook?  There are plenty inspirations there and you could join in our monthly challenge and win free Rachel Vass Designs' digital stamps.  Click here to join.

Rachel Vass Designs Magnolia Background

Hi,

Hope you're all having a good Saturday!!

Today I share two projects created using the newest release from Rachel Vass Designs, Magnolia Background.

Here's my takes.  First one up is a regular watercolored one.

I drew a gold frame using a gold gel pen for the image so it has the same look as the gold heat embossed sentiment.

This next card I am CASEing my teammates, Vivien Hodge's loose watercolor style.

I first spritzed the entire panel with clean water and then loosely dropped the colors in.   Check out more inspiration projects by visiting Rachel Vass Designs' store.

Happy Hydrangea Binder Cover

Hello there,

Last month I upcycled an old binder for stamp storage, I removed the old covering and used pattern paper for its new coat.  Today I share another one, but this time I stenciled on white paper and adhere decoupage instead.

I printed a beautiful image called Happy Hydrangea by Rachel Vass Design on light weight white paper, watercolored and then hand cut.

On the binder I covered it white paper, I inked a pale green background using Hero Arts Long Leave Stencil.

Then I adhere the hydrangea blooms with a matte medium.  Stamped a sentiment, and some tiny dragon flies with Charcoal Grey.

And coated everything with matte medium.  This protects the decoupage and intensified the colors too.  I really like how it turned out!!

Rachel will be add a new image every week to her store.  How exciting!!  Be sure come hop over to her store to see all the other beautiful digi stamps.
