Christmas Cards 2020-Nov-24

Hi and welcome back!

I finally finished the cards created using the last two colorings for the 11 Day Coloring Challenge.

This simple watercolored moose now lives in a faux shaker card.  Yes you heard me right!  LOL  For my international cards, I'd like to minimize the bulkiness and thickness so I avoid anything that have too many layers.  But I do want some fun in these cards too.  Hence my faux shaker card.

Remember this moose?  From my day 10 coloring.

Now it is here.

The snowflakes are glue down on the bottom layer of my snowglobe which is vellum, sealed on top is thin acetate.  I modified the Lawn Fawn Magic Iris Snowglobe add-on die to make my snowglobe.  Since I didn't need foam adhesive, the card is relatively flat for mailing.

Challenges for this card:

Supplies:

Lawn Fawn Magic Iris Snow Globe add-on Die
Spellbinders Nestabilities Standard Circles Die
Hero Arts Wooland Set by Lia Stamp & Cut
Hero Arts Winter Cheer Tag by Lis Stamp & Cut
Carta Bella Snowflake Swirls Stencil
Nuvo Sea Sprite Glacier Paste
Ranger Acorn Archival Ink
Versamark Watermark Ink
Ranger Super Fine Detail White Emobssing Powder
Altenew Watercolor 36 Pan Set

The watercolored panel I did on day 11 of the challenge, I cut up and made two cards.

From this:

I think both are quickly self explanetory.

Christmas Cards - 2020Sept27

 Hello there,

In the past two years I started creating holiday card early on, but not this year.  Many reasons I am distracted.  Anyhoo.. I made one today for a couple of challenges.

On a woodgrain dry embossed background, I adhere three white heat embossed vellum poinsettia, with three white branches with gold berries.   The "merry" die cut is adhered with Cool Diamond Micro Glitter, and the "Christmas" banner is gold heat embossed.

Coffee and Craft

 Happy Thursday everybody!

Yesterday I spent in the yard, so today it is going to be a "coffee, craft, nap, repeat" kind of day!  LOL

The main image is a digital stamp set call Coffee Break Time by Rachel Vass Designs.

My background is stamped with Crackling Campfire, Wild Honey, and Peeled Paint.  My first attempt to stamp with smooshed ink didn't quite work, I just got blot of inks.  Then I used inking tool to apply ink on the stamp, very lightly spritzed with water before stamping, this time I got the soft watercolor look and yet kept the details.  And finally I stamped some hearts with Worn Lipstick, and faux stitches with black.

Challenges:

Supplies:

Ranger Distress Inks (Crackling Campfile, Wild Honey, Peeled Paint, Antique Linen)
Hero Arts Soft Green Shadow Ink
Memento Tuxedo Black Ink
White Gel Pen

Coral Charm Thank You

Happy Sunday everyone, hope you're having a good day!

Supplies:

Ranger Distress Ink (Vintage Photo, Antique Linen)
Versamark Watermark Ink
Gold Embossing Powder
Bronze Embossing Powder

Rachel Vass Designs' Joyous Moment

Happy Wednesday everybody!

Today I share a card which features Rachel Vass Design's Joyous Moment Digital Stamp.   I use alcohol markers to color the beautiful floral image, but instead of white card stock, I printed the images on vellum.

Then I trimmed the images, and layered them on a white card base.  I added pattern paper strip tied with read twine, sentiment strip and embellished with translucent sequins.

Pen Sketched Flower journal/diary page

Hi crafty friends,

Welcome back to my blog.  Last year I decided to try a planner/art journal project.  But I found that with using the smart phone, the planning part of the project wasn't working out.  So this year I would concentrate on the art journal part and add the diary element to it.

Here's my first layout done using Altenew Pen Sketched Flowers Stamp and Die.

I stamped the flowers on rice paper (also know as mulberry paper), and then watercolored.  The experience is quite different from watercoloring on watercolor paper since the rice paper is quite thin, the water spreads very quickly but not the pigment.

After it dried, I die cut and then adhere to my journal using Matte Medium.  On my journal page I stamped the leaves using distress ink and spritzed with water, I want to create a softer look for the background.  I also spritzed a tiny bit of  Twinkling H2O watercolor (Mango Mamba) over the page.  Next I stamped sentiments, drew the lines on right hand side (yeah can't write straight without lines, lol), and voila, it's ready to go.

Hi,

I am sharing another addition to my Christmas Cards stash.

This one is stamped using an Altenew Mini Stamp Set named Warm Wishes.  With the help of my MISTI I stamped a wreath, and embellished with gold foiled paper die cuts.

The greetings, the string and bow (hand drawn with VersaMarker) are heat embossed in Brass embossing powder.  I splatter a bit of gold and white paint on the background.

Ranger Buttercup Mica Spray
White Acrylic Paint
Brass Embossing Powder

Book Club Bouquet

Hello,

I've created a bouquet using the Altenew Book Club Stamp and Die Set.

I stamped Book Club three times in black archival ink on multi media paper, watercolored, and die cut.  Then I trimmed the floral parts out from two pieces and layered them behind one to form a bouquet.   For the background panel I did a soft loose green background and splattered with some white and gold ink.

White Acrylic Paint
