Creations Scrapbook Centrale Creative Team Project 2024-Nov-12

 Hello,

I am back sharing a series of cards made with the challenge theme of: Hobbies for Creations Scrapbook Centrale fb group page.

One of my new found hobbies is Cross Stitch.  Okay I admit, I don't really do it for any other reason, except for card making and scrapbooking.  LOL

I used Lawn Fawn Embroidery Hood Die Set.  The Cozy Cocoa pattern I downloaded from Lawn Fawn Embroidery Hoop Pattern page.  The snowflake pattern I created myself.

The two sentiment heat embossed in white is from Hero Arts Coffee Cup Tag Stamp Set, and Hero Arts Color Layering Nordic Trees Stamp Set.

Background pattern paper and stitched label die both from Lawn Fawn.

Apart from stamps and die used shown in photos below, other supplies not photographed are: Versamark Watermark Ink, White Embossing Powder, embroidery floss, and sequins.

Thanks for visiting me today.  Have a sweet day!

Creations Scrapbook Centrale Creative Team Project 2024-Aug-14

 Hi,

I am sharing a holiday card today.  It features Lawn Fawn Winter Fox stamp, so this project fits the Creations Scrapbook Centrale fb group challenge for August: Animals.

The card is a mini slim line, 3 1/2 by 6 1/2 inches.  Not too complicated, a little bit of stamping, a bit coloring, a bit of die cutting, and a bit of splatter of distress spritz.

I am linking this card to:

Supplies used for this card are shown in photos below:

Thanks for coming over to my blog.  Have a lovely day!

A Little Sparkle

 Hi,

A quick share today.

I used the Lawn Fawn A Little Sparkle stamp and matching Lawn Cuts.  The cloud stencil is sort of a DIY item.  I used the cloud die from Spellbinders Hummingbird and Lily and a piece of semi-transparent plastic packaging and die cut my own mask/stencil.

And to keep up with my 2024 New Year Craft resolution, I made a matching envelope for it.

Supplies used shown in photos below:

I hope your day sparkles!

Thanks So Mochi on Die Cut Divas

 Hi,

I am sharing a fun word play card on Die Cut Divas today.  Our sponsor this month is Lawn Fawn, and I used their You Mean So Mochi Stamp and Die set for  my project.  I always enjoy their punny sentiment.

The 'thanks' is from one of their older set, but I think they mix well together.

March's challenge theme on Die Cut Divas is: Anything Goes.  But be sure to use add some die cuts and/or dry embossing to your project to qualify for the prize drawn.

Lawn Fawn is giving a $25 gift code to their store as the challenge prize.

Supplies:

Ranger Distress Ink (Kitsch Flamingo, Spun Sugar, Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey, Peeled Paint)
Memento Dye Ink (Tuxedo Black)

Thanks for stopping by, happy crafting!

Scrapbook Centrale Creative Team Project 2024-Feb-16

 Hey there,

Welcome back to my blog.  Today I share a set of ATCs on Creations Scrapbook Centrale FB group.  These will be exchanged with my Scrapbook Centrale craft buddies, they sure do mean 'so mochi' to me.

These are perfect for our February's challenge theme:  Valentine/Friendship, and the color Red/Pink.

I just love the word play from this cute Lawn Fawn stamp set.  For those who are not familiar with Mochi, here's a couple of short descriptions (from Wikipedia).  Both the Chinese and the Japanese make them.

*****
"Lo mai chi (Chinese: 糯米糍), known in Mandarin as nuomici, is a type of Chinese pastry. It is one of the most standard pastries in Hong Kong. It can also be found in most Chinatown bakery shops overseas. It is also referred to as glutinous rice dumpling. Today there are many different modern variations such as green tea flavor, mango flavor, etc.
The glutinous rice ball can be dusted with dried coconut on the outside. The outer layer is made of a rice flour dough and the inside is typically filled with a sweet filling. The most common fillings are sugar with coconut and crumbled peanuts, red bean paste, and black sesame seed paste."

*****
"Mochi, is a Japanese rice cake made of mochigome, a short-grain japonica glutinous rice, and sometimes other ingredients such as water, sugar, and cornstarch. The steamed rice is pounded into paste and molded into the desired shape. In Japan, it is traditionally made in a ceremony called mochitsuki."

Here's the craft supplies I used to create these ATCs:

The background pattern paper is from the Lawn Fawn "What's Sewing On" paper collection pack.

Thanks for visiting.  Happy crafting!!

Christmas Card 2023-Mar-11

 Happy Saturday everyone!

I finally sat down and made my first Christmas card of the year.

I want to thank my craft friend Linda W. for introducing the cute Lawn Fawn set to me.  I simply stamped, colored with alcohol markers, die cut, and adhered on card base which was layered with patterned paper and double stitched die stamped with sentiment.

I am going to link to a few challenges:

(first time using stamp and dies used in this card)

Supplies:

Copic Markers
Memento Dye Ink (Tuxedo Black)

That's it for now.  Have a good day!

So Dam Much on Die Cut Divas

 Hi,

Hope you're all enjoying the New Year!  It's my turn today to post on Die Cut Divas today.  This month's challenge theme is: Valentine's Day.

Our sponsor is Lawn Fawn, and they make the cutest stamps!!

My mini slimline project features one of the very cute stamps from their 2023 Valentine's release.  Let's take a look.

I had so much fun putting this scene together.  The background panel is pattern paper from Lawn Fawn (Watercolor Wishes Rainbow), I didn't have to do much, just die cut with Large Mini Slimline Stackables and darken a little with distress ink at the bottom.

I die cut some "branches" using brown cardstock and built the dam for the hugging beavers.  The stamped images are colored with Copic markers.

While I got my Lawn Fawn pile out, I made a second project; a mini slimline shaker card.

I used the Large Mini Slimline Stackable and die cut the frame, then a bunch of hearts using the Candy Hearts die set to place inside the shaker.  I use smaller heart shape from other sets to cut the smaller hearts as part of the shaker bits.  I even stamped the inside.

I hope I have inspired you to play along.  Hop over to Die Cut Divas to get all the details.

And I am playing along these challenges:

(Lawn Fawn So Dam Much Clear stamp & Lawn Cuts are new)

Supplies:

Copic Markers
Memento Dye Ink (Tuxedo Black)
Ranger Distress Ink (Uncharted Mariner)

Thanks for coming over.  Have a very sweet day!

Snow Globe 3D

 Hi,

A couple days ago I posted about my learning experience on using Lawn Fawn Magic Iris and the Snow Globe Add-On.  Today I created another project with the same supply and some improvements.  Also I went a little ambitious, I skip the card base and made it 3D ish.  😉  Let's take a look.

In stead of a card base, I die cut another snow globe piece and glue it to the back of my stack, added some reinforcement to steady my 3D Snow Globe project.  Here's a side view.

Challenges:

Supplies:

Lawn Fawn Magic Iris Lawn Cut
Lawn Fawn Magic Iris Snow Globe Add-On
Ranger Letter It (It's The Little Things) Clear Stamp Set
Altnew Book Club Clear Stamp Set
Versamark Watermark Ink
Wow Metallic Gold Rich Super Fine Embossing Powder
Studio Katia Iridescent Magnolia Fusion Sequins
