Hero Arts Fans Scramble Challenge 2021 March - Mini Slimline

Hello everybody,

Most of you know that I am a Hero Arts fan and I am a member of the Hero Arts Fans Scramble Challenge group on Facebook.  And we're having a challenge now, ending March 8, 9:00 EST.  The theme is: Mini Slimline.

Reason we call this a scramble challenge is that  you must create a paper craft project, photograph and upload to the fb group album all within 90 minutes (a block of time of your choice within the challenge period).  You must follow the given theme, and use Hero Arts products as focal elements.  This challenge is NOT hosted and/or sponsor by anyone.  Just a group of Hero Arts fans having some fun!

Now onto my card.

I literally scrambled making this card!  LOL

As you can see I chose a set with small images, so just passing the die cut machine took a little time, and you cannot rush coloring this cuties, can you?!  From cutting my card base, to looking for pattern paper,  to stamp, color and die the images, it took an hour.  So only 30 minutes to glue everything down and stamp sentiment, photograph and upload.  Phew I barely made it.  Luckily I have a couple cherry branches from the scrap pile I could use to dress up the background.

So note to self, don't use small images in the next scramble unless I am only using less then three!!  😂

Supplies:

Copic Markers
Memento Dye Ink (Tuxedo Black)

Thanks for visiting.  I wish you a fun day!

Hero Arts Fans Scramble Challenge 2020Oct

Hello,

Happy Thanksgiving to all my fellow Canadian friends!!  It's a gorgeous day here where I am and I got time to play in my craft room.  How sweet!!

This challenge theme is feature a background stamp and bring it out to the foreground.  I went with one of my favorites, Hero Arts Leaf & Floral Background.  I first white heat embossed the image, then blended with Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey, Crackling Campfire, and Picked Raspberry.  The panel is then die cut and adhered to red card base.  I added gold heat embossed sentiment, and embellished with a few Studio Katia Iridescent Magnolia Fusion sequins.

Thanks for visiting me.  I wish you a beautiful day!

Hero Arts Fans Scramble Challenge #1

Hello everybody,

I am hosting a Hero Arts Fans Scramble Challenge over on Facebook.  If you're a Hero Arts fans and want to join in the fun, send a request to join over here.

Now onto today's challenge theme:  Make a grid/inchie card.

I started off stamping some postage stamp using the Carte Postale set, but I didn't like how the stamps turned out so I started all over.

I inked up Flower Table Cloth with three distress inks ans spritzed some Perfect Pearl solution and bring a mix-media paper panel to it to stamp (cling stamp on the cover, closing it upside down).  And then dry it quickly using the heat gun.

I just love how the panel looks.  I almost didn't want to cut it up.  LOL.  But the clock was ticking so I used the Memory Box Postage Strip cutting die to cut my inchies, I get six pieces in one pass.  :D  Next I hand drew the lines (with the aid of a ruler of course), and stamped 'xoxo'.  I glued the three postage stamp onto a white card base, stamp the post mark in black.

Then I stamped Envelope Pattern using Soft Green onto a white card panel, then die cut a frame using Hero Arts Nesting Postage Stamp Infinity Dies, and adhere to the card uisng foam tape.  And I added some Nuvo glitter onto the heart.  When I photograph the card it's not dry yet.

Here's a close up, you could see the subtle shine from the Perfect Pearl and the glitter.

Here's one against the black background.
