Double Z-fold card on Die Cut Divas

 Hello there,

Today I am sharing a double z-fold card on Die Cut Divas.  Our challenge theme this month is Make a Z-fold card.

I stamped and colored the images with alcohol markers, then die cut and adhere to the prepared card base.  To make the Plumeria bouquet looks fuller, I stamped, colored and die two time.  I cut up the second one into two halves, and adhered them to the back of the first one.

The sentiment die cut is from the Spellbinders 2024 Advent Calendar set, and the sequins I used to embellished the card is from the Spellbinders 2022 Advent Calendar.

The two main set of stamps and die I used, Exotic Plumerias and Poised Flamingo are Altenew, our sponsor for this month.  The challenge prize is $20 gift certificate to their store.

Now it's your turn to make some z-fold card.  You can use Altenew products and/or other company's for your project, just make sure you die cut and/or dry embossed during your creation process.  I'll see you in the challenge gallery!

Supplies:

Copic Alcohol Markers
Memento Dye Ink (Tuxedo Black)

Soft rainbow colored card on Die Cut Divas

 Hi,

It's my turn to share another Birthday themed card on Die Cut Divas today.

I used one of the MFT Scallop Basic Edges die to die cut the rainbow colored pieces, adhere them onto a white top fold card base.  Then added sentiment and flowers die cut in iridescent card stock.  It took a bit of time to align the scallop pieces, but its worth the while.

Our challenge theme on Die Cut Divas this month is: Birthday.  Our sponsor, My Favorite Things is closing.  The DT have loved so many of MFT's products and at the least, wish them a big "Thank You" for all the wonderful things they have done in the industry.

 Supplies:

MFT Floral Adornments Die-namics
Sunny Studio Party Pets Stamps & Die set
Memento Dye Ink (Tuxedo Black)

A stitched floral card on Die Cut Divas

 Hello,

Welcome to July's challenge on Die Cut Divas.  Our challenge theme this month is Birthdays.

We are aware that My Favorite Things is closing so we don't know if they will be able to give a prize, however we have loved so many of MFT's products and at the least, wish them a big "Thank You" for all the wonderful things they have done in the industry.

There will be a $25 gift card given to the winner from a well known company,.

Please enter even though there may not be a prize.  Show MFT that we remember them well.

I used Floral Adornaments - MFT-2545 (retired) for my card.

I die cut multiple flowers using various color cardstock, then stitched with white embroidery floss.

On a white card base, I adhere one kraft stitched rectangle panel, followed by a white one with black heat embossed sentiment.

Next I arranged and mounted the stitched flowers with both glue and foam adhesive.  I found that the white panel was a bit boring, so I usee the smallest floral die in the set and die cut several using white cardstock, glued them together, inked and stamped randomly on the panel with yellow ink.

Hop on over to Die Cut Divas and check out more DT inspirations.  Take your favorite stash out and make some birthday cards and join in the fun.  Remember to add die cut and/or dry embossing to your project(s) to qualify for the drawn.  Winners are announced on the Die Cut Divas blog on the 3rd of next month.

Supplies:

MFT Floral Adornments Die Set
White embroidery floss
Memento Dye Ink (Tuxedo Black)
Clear embossing powder

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a fantastic day!

Joy on Die Cut Divas

 Happy June 1st everyone!

I am sharing a card inspired by a warm color palette on  Die Cut Divas.

This month on Die Cut Divas, we're having a color challenge.  Use at least three or more colors from the below palette , with optional black and white and skin tone on people for your project.  Of course add die cut and/or dry embossing.

I created an ombre panel using "Pale Pink", "Coral", and "Wine".  Then I die cut it with the detail layer of the Poppystamps' Nordic Flourish Background die set.

Next I die cut the outline using vellum and glue the detail layer on top of the vellum.  I also die cut another detail layer using white card stock and glue it to the back of the flourish piece before gluing it to the white card front.  Then I adhere the 'joy' with foam adhesive.

Our sponsor this month is Poppystamps.  They are giving a $20 gift card to their store as the challenge prize.

Going Places on Die Cut Divas

 Greetings!!

I am sharing another card on Die Cut Divas for May's challenge: Real or Faux Watercolor.

The image for my card is Art Impression Road Trip clear stamp set.  I used both soluble water color and water color pencils, and some metallic water color on the card.

The top postage stamp die cut is actually a panel that I used to ink off a stencil, I used it because it has this water color look.  I then stamped some postmarks on it.  I die cut a second postage stamp die in green pattern paper to offset the top one to add interest.

Our sponsor this month is Art Impressions, and challenge prize will be $25 gift code to their store.

Thinking of You on Die Cut Divas

 Hi,

I am back with another Flower theme inspiration project on Die Cut Divas today.

It's has been many years since I had the idea of documenting my garden and the flowers in it by the means of a scrapbook album.  Somehow many suns and moons have passed, I just never got around to do it.  But today, today I decided to start, not a scrapbook album, but an art journal.  My intention is to make a page for each of the flowers I have and had.  I am starting with the Pansies.

On a colored mix media paper panel I did some ink blending.  I took a couple sentiment stamps from Altenew Build-A-Flower: Coral Charm and stamped with archival ink.  Next I applied Volume Paste thru a stencil in selected areas.

While this dries, I die cut and water colored the Pansies flowers and leaves. Adding details with coloring pencils.

Once the background is completely dried, i distressed the edges slightly, then adhered the Pansies onto the page.  To truly make it my own, I hand wrote "thinking of", the meaning of the Pansies in Chinese on to upper right hand corner.

Our April challenge theme on Die Cut Divas is Flowers, and our generous sponsor, Altenew is giving a $50 gift card to the challenge winner.

Supplies used for my project:

Simple Stories Doily Stencil
Stamperia Volume Paste
Ranger Distress Ink (Peeled Paint, Weathered Wood, Uncharted Mariner, Vintage Photo, Seedless Preserve)
Ranger Archival Ink (Acorn)
Black Marker
Prismacolor Coloring Pencils

---

I really like how this turns out.  Now that I've got the flower theme art journal started, I will keep it up and share my future pages with you.

Thanks for coming over, I wish you a fabulous day!

Filled with Joy Card on Die Cut Divas

 Hello, how are you doing?

No, no joke from me today.  Just a bright card to cheer you up.

The Diasies Die set I used has been retired, but if you like daisies, the Craft-A-Flower: Daisy Layering Die Set will the be the perfect substitute.

The background is done using Altenew Dotted Tile Debossing Cover Die.  To add a bit more interest, I sandwiched a piece of Rose Gold Decorative Foil between the cover die and my cardstock.  There is enough pressure to press the foil into the debossed areas giving them a bit of shine.

It's the first day of April, and a new challenge begins on Die Cut Divas Challenge Blog.  Our challenge theme this month is: Flowers.  Our sponsor this month is Altenew, and they are generously giving away a $50 gift card as the challenge prize.

Altenew Handmade Tags Die
Altenew Metallic Thread (Antique Gold)
Hero Arts Ombre Ink (Butter to Orange)

Fancy Edge on Die Cut Divas Takes Two

 Hello,

Welcome to my mid-December post, I am sharing another Fancy/Uneven Edge card on Die Cut Divas today.

It is not difficult achieve the result even if you do not have a border die, just do partial die cut.

I think the partial die cut gives a card some extra zink!

I first stamped the Japanese Anemone image in black on the white card base.  Next I ink blended the images.  Then on scrap paper I die cut the floral image.  I use this die cut to mask the inked image, and spritzed with distress spritz to the background.  I applied some glamour glitter to the flower center.

Our sponsor this December is Frantic Stamper, they are offering two beautiful dies as the challenge prize.

Be sure to head to Die Cut Divas to check out our mid-December inspiration post.  And to link up, just click the "Monthly Challenge" button on the right sidebar.

See you in the challenge gallery!

Supplies used on my card:

Ranger Distress Ink (Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey, Crackling Campfire, Picked Raspberry, Peeled Paint, Uncharted Mariner)
Ranger Distress Spritz (Twisted Citron, Peeled Paint)
Memento Dye Ink (Tuxedo Black)
StudioLight - Art By Marlene Glamour Glitter (Gold)

Fancy Edge on Die Cut Divas

 Hello there,

Happy December 1st!!  Welcome to a new challenge on Die Cut Divas Challenge Blog.  This month we challenge you to make a card with an Fancy/Uneven edge.

Here's my take:

I used Spellbinders Essential Floral Reflection Die set (available at Frantic Stamper) to cut my card base.  My card also features Frantic Stamper 6x6 Romantic Damask Stencil.  I first layered it on my card front, ink blended with Peeled Paint distress ink.  Once it dried, I layered the stencil on the card front at the same place, and applied a layer of Distress Crackle Paste.  Once that dried, I ink blended the background with Uncharted Mariner.

Then adhered a gold heat embossed sentiment, and embellished with gold foiled paper die cut pine branches and leaves, and red shimmery flower.

Supplies for first card:

Ranger Distress Crackle Paste (Translucent)
Ranger Distress Ink (Peeled Paint, Uncharted Mariner)
Versamark Watermark Ink
Gold Embossing Powder

I had so much fun making the first card, I went ahead and made a second one:

I used Elizabeth Craft Design Snowflake Border Die (available at Frantic Stamper) to make my Fancy/Uneven edge.   The Joy die is from 2023 Spellbinders' 12 Days of Stitchmas Kit.

I first die cut the intricate part of the die on my white card front, then I adhered a piece of glitter card stock behind it and sandwiched it with another piece of white cardstock to make sure it's strong.  I spritzed my card front with some Perfect Pearl, so it's not as boring.

This card if full of sparkly goodness.  Here's a close up:

Frantic Stamper is our sponsor this month, and they generously offered two beautiful dies as the challenge prize.

Be sure to hop over to Die Cut Divas to see more inspiration projects and join in the challenge.  Do come back on the 15th to check our our mid-month inspiration post.

Supplies used for second card:

2023 Spellbinders 12 Days of Stitchmas Kit (day 8)

Red Glitter cardstock (source unknown)
Ranger Perfect Pearl Pigment Powder Pearl
