Hi,
I am sharing a Mother's Day card on Die Cut Divas Challenge Blog today. There is a first time mom in the family, so this is for her. Our May challenge theme is: Celebrations. So I think the card fits the theme perfectly.
The card base is Poppystamps Fern and Daisy Pop Up Easel card, it was sent to me by a dear teamie and I have kept it safe in my treasure bin, but today is the day to use it. 😉
I first did a light wash of watercolor on the detail panel, then I use an inking tool to add layers of distress inks and ink blended the oval center. Then I gold heat embossed the sentiment on the top oval piece. I assembler the card base and adhere the focal element using foam adhesive.
The focal element is Poppystamps Nordic Spectacular Butterfly I die cut using both pattern paper and a ivory shimmery color paper.
For the stopper, I used clear seal wax and Spellbinders Butterfly Mini Wax Seal stamp.
Poppystamps is our sponsor this month, it's giving a $20 gift card to the store as the challenge prize. I hope I've inspired you to play along. Remember to use your die cut machine in your creating process and make a paper craft project according to the challenge theme. Link up details on this blog post.
