Gold on Gold

 Hello,

I am playing along April  2025 Lunar New Year Challenge with this Gold on Gold card.

The flower and leaves are gold heat embossed and layered with distress inks.  And the background panel is first ink blended, and then stenciled with Altenew Enchanted Gold Shimmer Relief Paste.

The red, the gold, and the green are the just perfect for a Lunar New Year card.  The Chinese sentiment means "Happy New Year".

Peonies Lunar New Year Card

 Hi,

I am inspired by a Chinese Red Envelope design, one that features a Peony flower.  In Chinese culture, peonies symbolize wealth, honor, peace, and prosperity.

I used Altenew White Cap Peonies Layering Stencil set and Altenew Terrazzo Tile Layering Stencil set for my project.  The sentiment is from Mama Elephant - New Year Saying Stamp set.

I am linking up to these challenges:

A Dragon Birthday

 Hi,

I am sharing a very unusual card today.  A card that does not having any stamping, and the image is drawn by me.

Actually I drew the image many years ago, and it was use in a 'paper-cut' project.  I couldn't show you my original project, because I did that way before taking photo of one's project was a thing.  LOL

To create today's card, I printed the image on white card stock, and colored with Copic markers.  You could see that there is no outline of the dragon, the markings were all for cutting out.

The Chinese sentiment was computer generated and it says "happy birthday".  The background is slightly ink blended with distress inks.

I am sending this to the same person who I sent my original project to.  Hope it's a surprise for her.
