One cut for two cards

 Hello,

Today I decided to make sure of my negative die cut piece also, so had one of those "one for two" moments.  😉

For my first card I die cut a panel on an A2 size white card stock using Altenew Ornate Nesting Die, then embossed it using Altenew Tufted Elegance 3D Embossing Folder to be the backdrop.

The flowers were die cut on white card stock using Altenew Craft-A-Flower Forget-Me-Not Layering Die Set were ink blended with Ranger Distress Inks (Spun Sugar, Festive Berries), the flower centers were cut with cream and lime card stock.  The leaves were inked with Altenew Fresh Dye Ink (Swamp Green).  The sentiment is from Altenew Cake Love Clear stamp set.

I am entering this card to Altenew July 2026 Inspiration Challenge.

------ *** -----

The negative piece left over from the first card was perfectly fine and I didn't want to throw it away, and since I had prep'd extra flowers, I decide to make use of them and made a holiday card.

I dry embossed an A2 size Spellbinders Rainforest color card panel using Altenew Festive Greenery 3D Embossing Folder, and gently inked it with Hero Arts Pigment Ink (Unicorn).  After it dried, I adhered the negative frame with foam tape to it, then to a card base.

To build the wreath, I stamped (with Altenew Fresh Dye Ink Swamp Green) and die the pine branch from Altenew Sophisticated Wreath, and build the base of the wreath.  Then I adhered the flowers on top and added a die cut sentiment from Spellbinders Make It Merry Sentiment set.

I will link this card up to the BYSHC Christmas In July 2026 Linky Party.

Thanks for visiting.  Have a good one!

hello friend

 Hello crafty friends,

Hope you are having a great crafty day!  I am sharing a make created for the Altenew April Inspiration Challenge.  I love the soft color palette.  It took me some time to achieve the effects, but I like how it turned out.

In order to keep the ink very soft, I used a trick I learnt from Jaycee Gaspar; that is to use an ink blending brush and brush over the inked stamp.  This makes the ink soft and even.  Although I used both distress inks and dye inks in the process, it worked out.

Challenges:

Thinking Of You Oxeye Daisy

 Hi,

I am sharing a card for Altenew 2026 February Inspiration Challenge.

The shaped card base is die cut using Simon Says Stamp Squovals Waffer Die.  Then it's debossed with Altenew Dotted Tile Debossing Cover Die.

I stamped the image of Altenew Build-A-Garden Oxeye Daisy with Ranger Archival Jet Black ink and watercolored using Altenew Watercolor 36 Pan Set, and used some Prismacolors coloring pencil to add in some details.  The image is then die cut and adhere onto the prepared card base.  I added a gold heat embossed sentiment banner from my stash, and embellished with a few Altenew Satin White sequins.

Hi, so nice to see you!

I've always find that it's a challenge to do white flowers, so every now and then I'll attempt to color some.  Then I saw the inspiration photo of Altenew January 2026 Inspiration challenge, I know I had to play because I've acquired their BAG - Hellebore Haven Bundle.  Thus, this card was born.

I used everything in the bundle, stamp, die, stencil and embossing folder.  The background purple/eggplant colored card panel has been debossed with the Dotted Tile Debossing Cover Die.

Oxeye Daisy

 Hello there,

On today's card, I stamped the outline with a light grey shadow ink instead of the usual black.  What do you think, do the flowers look more natural without the hard outline, or it's too pale to stand out?

I was inspired by the lovely coneflower from the inspiration photo below:

Challenges:

Supplies:

Ranger Distress Ink (Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry, Peeled Paint, Uncharted Mariner, Aged Mahogany,  Vintage Photo)
Altenew Warm Grey Enamel Dots

A Big Hug

 Hi everyone,

As soon as I saw the sunflower in the Altenew March 2025 Inspiration Challenge Photo, I immediately thought of the White Cap Peonies Layering Stencil set in my stash, it's so fun to ink it up in yellow/orange.

I also just got some Shimmer Relief Paste, so I had to add some to my Peonies, not sure if the last layer (of the stencil) is the right layer to do it, but I think it turned out okay.

Surprise!  There are more Peonies inside this pop-up card.

The pink/red Peony is attached to the pop-up mechanism, and the yellow one is attached to the back panel.

Challenges:

Supplies:

Altenew Crisp Dye Ink (Citrus Burst, Limeade, Bamboo, Sunkissed)
Hero Arts Dye Ink (Lemon Yellow, Butter Bar, Orange, Ultra Pink, Red Royal, Crimson, Lime Green, Field Greens)
Pinkfresh Dye Ink (Warm Buff, Misty Coast)
Stamperia Dye Ink (Coffee)
Memento Dye Ink (Tuxedo Black)

Thanks for coming to see me, have a sweet day!

Christmas Card 2024-Nov-12

 Hello there,

Every once in a while I like to use non Christmas image to create Christmas card.  Like this one I've made today.

I colored the coloring card that comes in with my Altenew Happy Mail, trimmed, and mount on white panel.  I wrapped Altenew Antique Gold Metallic thread several times on the side and secured, glue three Altenew Antique Gold sequins for embellishment.  Then the whole panel is adhered to the dry embossed background.

I may not have an sentiment on the outside of the card, but I think the color scheme suggest that it is a Christmas card.  What do you think?

This is how the coloring card looks like before I trimmed it out.

Challenge:

Supplies:

Altenew Festive Greenery 3D Embossing Folder
Altenew Antique Gold Metallic Thread
Altenew Antique Gold Sequins
Alcohol Markers
White Gel Pen

That's it for this post, bye for now.

Adventure Awaits

 Hello,

The World In Bloom Die Set from Altenew's August release really caught my eyes, and I am lucky my local stamp store already has it in the store.  So I got me a set and this is the first card I created with it.

The globe image from the Big World Stamp set is slightly smaller but with some distressing on the edge, it looks fine underneath the grid.

I am linking up to these challenges:
