Have a bubbly day

 Hi,

I have a quick share today.  It's someone's birthday soon and I made this card for him.  

Background paper from Lawn Fawn Bitsy Bloom Collection, die cut using Waffle Flower A2 Lacy Layers Die.  The bubble tea images from Lawn Fawn Year Fifteen bundle are stamped and stenciled with various distress inks and then die cut.  "HBD" die cut using Sizzix Thinlits (666281) on Spellbinders Colorwheel cardstock in Beewax.

The fun part of this card is that the yellow bubble tea is mounted with Spellbinders Card Spinner so one could spin it round and round.

Enjoy the little things

 Hello there,

It's my turn to share another Anything Goes project on Die Cut Divas Challenge blog. 

To create this card, I first stenciled the clouds with Distress Ink Tumbled Glass on a white card base.  Next I die cut the flowers using Simon Says Stamp Poised Primula Wafer Thin Die with white card stock and applied various distress inks including: Barn Door, Picked Raspberry, Kitsch Flamingo, Worn Lipstick, Wilted Violet, and Wild honey.  I then die the leaves and stems with Spellbinders Peridot and Rainforest color card stock.  For the grass I die cut using Lawn Fawn Meadow Border Lawn Cut with some lime green card stock (source unknown).

I dry fitted all the pieces to the way I like and then glueed down.  Then I stamped the sentiment from Simon Says Stamps Lovely Spring Clear stamp set (retired) with Distress Ink Forest Moss, hand cut and adhere to card.   Lastly I applied Nuvo Glitter Drop Gold Coast to the flower centers.

A Note of Encouragement

 Hello,

I am so honored and so happy to be the Guest Designer of Time Our Challenge #313 - Playing Music.

My card was actually inspired by Gina K Designs' Note Of Encouragement Stamp.  I just love the violin image from the set, and how could one not think of music when one see that?!

I stamped it in black and clear heat embossed it.  I colored with alcohol markers.  On this twisted easel card, I adorned it with flowers and used sheet music pattern paper on the background.

The stopper is the banner die from the same set.  The sentiment is also stamped in black and clear heat embossed.

I combined the new Big Blossom Backdrop die set with Winter Birds Stamps and Die to create this Spring like card.

The background is pattern paper, the rest colored with alcohol markers.  I also stamped a mirror image of the flying bird so they both face towards the middle.

 Hello crafty friends,

Hope you are having a great crafty day!  I am sharing a make created for the Altenew April Inspiration Challenge.  I love the soft color palette.  It took me some time to achieve the effects, but I like how it turned out.

In order to keep the ink very soft, I used a trick I learnt from Jaycee Gaspar; that is to use an ink blending brush and brush over the inked stamp.  This makes the ink soft and even.  Although I used both distress inks and dye inks in the process, it worked out.

Spring Music

 Hi, and welcome back to my blog.  Before I explain anything, let's take a look of my card.

This cute violin image reminds me of a couple pieces of music that has Spring in its title, Spring from Vivaldi's Four Seasons, and Beethoven's Spring Sonata.  I thought this makes perfect sense for Die Cut Diva's March challenge theme: Spring Is Coming.  Thus the birth of this card.

Thinking Of You Oxeye Daisy

 Hi, 

I am sharing a card for Altenew 2026 February Inspiration Challenge.

The shaped card base is die cut using Simon Says Stamp Squovals Waffer Die.  Then it's debossed with Altenew Dotted Tile Debossing Cover Die.

I stamped the image of Altenew Build-A-Garden Oxeye Daisy with Ranger Archival Jet Black ink and watercolored using Altenew Watercolor 36 Pan Set, and used some Prismacolors coloring pencil to add in some details.  The image is then die cut and adhere onto the prepared card base.  I added a gold heat embossed sentiment banner from my stash, and embellished with a few Altenew Satin White sequins.

White Hellebore

 Hi, so nice to see you!

I've always find that it's a challenge to do white flowers, so every now and then I'll attempt to color some.  Then I saw the inspiration photo of Altenew January 2026 Inspiration challenge, I know I had to play because I've acquired their BAG - Hellebore Haven Bundle.  Thus, this card was born.

I used everything in the bundle, stamp, die, stencil and embossing folder.  The background purple/eggplant colored card panel has been debossed with the Dotted Tile Debossing Cover Die.

My 2026 New Year Craft resolution

 Hello there,

For my 2026 New Year Craft resolution, no I am not going to say I would buy less craft supply, or try to use up what I have.  I am going to make more Lunar New Year cards this coming year.  So here goes the first one.

Lunar New Year falls on Feb 17, 2026 and it will be the year of Fire Horse.  Although I do not own a horse stamp, I do have a horseshoe die, and I think it works perfectly for my card.  It is from the Spellbinders 2025 Advent Calendar window #24.

My background is red cardstock splattered with Hero Arts Gold Glimmer metallic ink.   The horseshoes are die cut using brush gold card stock, the sentiment is gold heat embossed.  Among all this gold color, the green four leaves clover and the cream colored flowers add interest and contrast.

Creations Scrapbook Centrale Creative Team project 2024-Aug-04

 Hi,

I am posting on the Creations Scrapbook Centrale fb group today for the challenge theme: Animals, optional color:  Green.

I made a birthday card for my cat loving niece.  The patterned paper from Stamperia (Create Happiness by Vicky Papaioannou - Welcome Home) is just perfect for my project.  

But I didn't want to just use a piece of pattern paper?!  So I cut out some of the areas and made them shaker window.  I added glossy accent to the Tulip flowers, and adhere a few hand cut images (from the same collection), plus a rub-on.

I also made a matching envelope by adding rub-on and a hand cut image on the flap.  Et voila!

The sentiment banner is from my stash, and there is no stamping on the outside of the card.

Creations Scrapbook Centrale Creative Team Project 2024-Jun-15

I am sharing another shaped card today, this one is for the Creations Scrapbook Centrale FB group challenge.  Our June challenge, which is hosted by myself, is all about making a Shaped Card.  

I made this card for someone very dear to me, he cares a lot about the environment, and his favorite sport is Volleyball.  In the front basket of the bike, there are water bottles and bananas (his favorite fruit), and in the back basket, there's a volleyball (I die a round shape, and hand drew the lines and colored with alcohol markers), and a few olive branches (die from Poppy Stamps).

Creations Scrapbook Centrale Creative Team Project 2024-Jun-05

Hello, welcome back!

This is my second post of the day.  To see my first post keep scrolling or click here for the short cut. 

This post is all about shaped card as well, and it's for the Creations Scrapbook Centrale fb group challenge for June, the theme is: Shaped Card (any shape except square and/or rectangle), and the color option is Fushia/Hot Pink.

I used a set of oval nested die for the base of the project.  Well, to make an oval shaped card stand is rather difficult, so I made it into an easel card.

I had so much fun putting the flowers together for this card, and the dimensions are really nice.  Not a card you could send thru the regular snail mail!

Here's a few photos to explain the basic construction of the card.

step 1: cut two panel using largest die, one for back panel, one for easel connection.  Cut again with largest die, but with the corresponding decorative oval die.  On the easel connection piece, make a mountain fold at mid-point, and a valley fold 1/2 inch from top.

step 2: glue the 1/2 flap at top of base panel.

step 3: glue the card front piece to the bottom flap of the easel connection piece.  You could do this step after you complete the card front.  Or just attach another layer on top of the card front.

To complete my card, I decorated the front before attaching to the easel.  Also I die cut another oval, inked and attached to the card base.  Also make a 'stopper' using the two smallest dies; it is attached with foam adhesive.
