Sometimes I am not sure if it is a good idea to post my Christmas cards on social media.  May be the future recipient(s) would have already seen it and the surprise element is not there when they open that envelope?!  What are your thoughts on that?

Christmas Cards - 2020Sept27

 Hello there,

In the past two years I started creating holiday card early on, but not this year.  Many reasons I am distracted.  Anyhoo.. I made one today for a couple of challenges.

On a woodgrain dry embossed background, I adhere three white heat embossed vellum poinsettia, with three white branches with gold berries.   The "merry" die cut is adhered with Cool Diamond Micro Glitter, and the "Christmas" banner is gold heat embossed.

Christmas Cards 2019-Feb-18

Hi,

Got a couple more Christmas cards to add to my stash.

I created a CAS look with subtle pattern in the background.  I embossed a white card panel with KaiserCraft Snowflakes Embossing Folder, then I passed it thru the die cut machine again sandwiched between plain heavy weight paper and the cutting plates.  This flatten the embossing but the pattern is still there.

Then I gold heat embossed Hero Arts Peace & Joy.  And glue the panel to a card base which has gold glitter tape adhere on the bottom edge.  I rounded the top corners to add interest.

Kaisercraft Textures - Butterflies Thank You

Hi everyone,

I got a Thank You card to share today on the Die Cut Diva's Challenge Blog.

I used a technique that's call Embossing Folder Stamping.  I first learnt about it in this challenge post.

So I inked up my embossing folder with several distress inks, spritz with water, but instead of embossing my card, I just press the card stock onto the embossing folder like stamping with it.

Isn't that background fun?!  Next I stamped the butterflies and the sentiment in black and heat embossed with clear powder.  I added stickles to the butterflies and embellished with a few sequins.  This card is one layer so no extra bulk, easy for mailing.

Supplies:

Kaisercraft Embossing Folder: Triangles
Kaisercraft Clear Stamp: Textures - Butterflies
Hero Arts Clear Stamp: Say it All
Ranger Distress Ink: Crushed Olive, Peeled Paint, Bundled Sage
Memento Dye Ink: Tuxedo Black
clear embossing powder
Little Things from Lucy's Cards sequins: Fruit Sorbet
Ranger Stickles: Diamond, Orange Slice

Thanks for stopping by, I wish you a lovely day!

Take The Long Way Home

Happy first of June!!

I share a card made with KaiserCraft products on the Die Cut Divas' Challenge blog today.

KaiserCraft is the sponsor for the June Challenge - Anything Goes on the Die Cut Diva's.  And we are giving you a sneak peak of products to be released in July 2016.

For my card I used Triangle Embossing folder, Round the World cutting die, and pattern paper named Passport from the Just Landed Collection.

I first sponge the embossing folder with some distress ink, spritz with water, and then emboss a piece of white card stock with it.  After it's dried I adhere it to a card base.  Then layered panel and sentiments cut from the pattern paper.  I die cut Round the World once using black card stock, and another time using a watercolor panel which I previously inked.  Then inlaid the black negative pieces into the colored positive piece, secure everything with some tape on the back and adhere to the pattern panel.

I really like how it turned out.  Take the long way home!!

Be sure to visit Die Cut Diva's and check out what my team mates created.

Have a lovely day.
