Hello,
It the first day of June and we have a new challenge this month with a very popular challenge theme, Anything Goes on Die Cut Divas.
Just remember to use die cut and/or dry embossing during your creation process.
This month on Die Cut Divas, we do not have an official sponsor, but we still are offering a challenge prize. One of our design team members is paying forward a $25 gift certificate to Whimsy Stamps. Isn't that cool?!
I have always been intrigued by shape cards, large or small. I created this shaped card with Spellbinders Made With Love Etched Die by Tina Smith.
I die cut most of the pieces with white card stock, and ink blended with Picked Raspberry, Squeezed Lemonade, and Wild Honey. The pocket and oven mitts decorations are die cut with pattern paper, and the two long leaves are die cut with two shades of green card stock. I die cut extra pieces of the apron body to sandwich the hinge that hold the two flaps of the card together. Then assembled as shown.
While I still everything laid out, I went ahead and made a second card CAS style.
I die cut the oven mitts with pattern paper, slightly distressed with Barn Door. Next I die cut the oven mitts decorations with red vellum, and adhered them to the mitts. The cookies are die cut with kraft card stock and ink blended with Walnut Stain and Vintage Photo. The bowl I die cut using Hero Arts Tea Cup Infinity Dies (I just flipped it over and die cut off the handle to make it into the bowl), and stamped a heart with Barn Door and distressed with the same ink.
The sentiment from Spellbinders Sugared Expression Clear Stamp set is stamped in Tuxedo Black. The background pattern paper panel is die cut using Pinkfresh Studio Essentials: Blanket Stitched Rectangle and attached to a white card base.
I arranged the oven mitts and bowl of cookies as shown in the photo and adhered them to the card front with both glue and foam adhesive.
Hop over to Die Cut Divas and check out more inspiration projects from my teammates. Take your favorite craft supplies out and join in the fun.
Happy crafting!!
