Watercolor Real or Faux on Die Cut Divas

Hello,

It's August 1st, and you know it, a new challenge is a happening on Die Cut Divas.  August's challenge theme is: Watercolor real or faux.

"Watercolor real or faux" includes splattering of water on distress inked panels, application of a water spritzed stencil to pull up distress inks from a distress inked panel and smooshed backgrounds, ink smooshing, ...etc.  So there's lots of techniques you can go with for watercolor real or faux.  You could choose one or the other or mixture of several techniques.

I did both real and fuax watercolor on my card.

To create the background I pressed several distress inks onto my craft mat, spritzed with water, then use a piece of acetate to "smoosh" the colors together and "ink smooshed" in several layers, drying in between.  Lastly I splattered with watercolors.

For the focal point I white heat embossed Bool Club and painted with Altnew watercolors.  The Tall Alpha Lowercase 'hello' is gold heat embossed and die cut.  I embellished with a few Antique Gold sequins.

Our lovely sponsor for August is Altenew.

I hope you're inspire to play along.  The challenge prize winner would receive  Now hop over to Die Cut Divas and check out the beautiful project my team mates created for you.
