Holiday Greenery and Cardinal on a2z

Happy Monday,

It is the first day of Autumn, that means my gardening chores would include Fall planting and tidying up for the season.  Speaking of gardening, there is a family of Northern Cardinals in the neighborhood, and this past summer one of them would come play 'hide and seek' with me.  It would chip and sing when I work in the garden, I hear it (yes it comes often enough that I reconize its voice), but I couldn't see it.  And finally when I do, it flys away, needless to say I couldn't take a photo fast enough.  But I do have have a snap shot when it actually stop by my deck one time.

And this fun 'hide and seek' game it plays with me inspired my card on a2z Scrapbooking today.

The photo looks like it is out of focus, but the layers are made to be a bit fuzzy, just like when you try to spot a bird in the trees!!   LOL  I die cut Holiday Greenery Edge twice each using three shades of green/blue card stock, and glued each two layers in an offset fashion.  Then I layered them on to a white card base and tuck the cardinal in between the layers.

To keep the same scheme, I die cut 'holidays' in white and red and glued them in an offset fashion as well.  To embellish I use 1/8 inch hole punch and punched out some 'red berries' and glue them on the the greeneries, and top with Candy Cane stickles.  I also added Star Dust stickles to some of the leaves.  The 'happy' is white heat embossed.

There is still time to play our September challenge - Anything Goes.  I hope I've inspired you to play along.

And the September sale at a2z store is still on.  Do go and check it out.

Ah such a fun story about your inspiration for your card! A clever cute card! We don't have cardinals here where I live. I would love to see one.
