Hello everybody!!
August is here and so is a new challenge on a2z Scrapbooking. This month's theme is: Birthday.
For today's project I've created a CAS Pop-up Shadow Box a la Jennifer McGuire. I been wanting to try her technique ever since I saw this video of hers.
A couple weeks ago while creating projects for the Hero Arts Flickr Group Scramble challenge, I have a piece of alcohol ink panel left over. It's perfect for my pop-up shadow box card today.
I die cut it using Hero Arts Butterfly Fancy Die. It is already so bright and colorful, I didn't want other elements to compete with it. So I went with a CAS design.
Inside the shadow box, I heat embossed Garden Flowers by Lia with Sugar Cube Glitter embossing powder. There is some foiling on the alcohol panel (of which I die cut the butterfly), I reheat the gold embossed sentiment and applied the same foil on it, it picked up just enough to have a 'matching' look. :)
Hop over to a2z Scrapbooking and see what my team mates created to inspire you, and join in the challenge.
The Butterfly Fancy Die is still available in the a2z store. Use my promote code Cindy15 when shopping there and get 15% off of any purchases $25 or more (excluding shipping).
