Alcohol Ink I've been Thinking of You

Hi, this is my second post of the day, wow, one of those rare days that I have more than one!  :)  For my a2z post, please click Here.

As my post title indicated I've been thinking about the Alcohol Inks in the SSS October Card Kit (I was lucky to have won this kit from Sarah Moerman's Giveaway) and have wanted to play with them since a couple months!  Finally now that my holiday cards are all done and sent out, I took some time to play today.

It's the very first time I try this medium, and I am happy to say I like how my project turned out and now Alcohol Inks are on my wish list!  LOL

I took my time to drop the inks onto the Yupo and rubbing alcohol alternatively and see how it spreads and drop in more.  But I didn't ink up the entire piece of paper, and let this natural line formed.  After it almost dried I place some Rose Gold foil transfer sheet on it and let the wet area adhered the foil.  Then I used stamps and alcohol lift ink to lift some ink out.

Of course these lifted ink didn't go to waste, I stamped them onto a journal page.

Then I trimmed down the panel to put on a card and stamped the sentiment in black.

Challenges:

Supplies:

Ranger Alcohol Ink (Sunset Orange, Sunshine Yellow, Stream)
Ranger Archival Ink (Jet Black)

Thanks for visiting,  Enjoy the rest of the day!

Love this, Cindy! Funny - I was playing with alcohol inks today too......wish we could have played together. I tried lots of techniques, but I didn't think of leaving the "rough" edge". That is brilliant! A great card from a great lady! Merry Christmas, dear one.
