Hero Arts Pomegranate Thanks on a2z

Hello,

I am up on a2z Scrapbooking today, and I have a fun fact to share.

But first my card.

I used Hero Arts Color Layering Pomegranate and the matching frame cut for the focal point, but instead of using the layering stamps for the fruit I simply die cut them and watercolored.  To make the branches look fuller, I stamped and colored some in the background as well as adding some die cut ones.

I was happy with the colors, but not 100 hundred satisfied.  And was wondering what to do.  Well dinner time was coming up so I went to the kitchen and do some other crafts there (cooking that is).  Hehe!  Well guess what, as if I have planned it all along, I was cooking beets.  Yup!  I got beet juice everywhere so I smeared some beet juice onto the pomegranate, and I thought it just gave it some 'zing'.  Don't you think?

The challenge theme of the month is Give Thanks.  Won't you join in?
