Christmas Cards 2017-Feb-02

Hi everyone,  Happy Groundhog's Day!

It's really sunny today so I think the Groundhog would see shadow and that means Winter is not over anytime soon over here!  And the white stuff on the ground makes me feel kind of festive, and in the mood to continue with my Christmas cards.  LOL!!

Today I am playing along Merry Monday Christmas challenge 233 - The Magic Number is 5.  We must put 5 of something on our projects.

On my card I created a wreath with 5 mistletoe branches, and added 5 sequins.

I stamp the mistletoe branches with Peeled Paint and clear heat embossed, watercolored, die cut, and added glossy accents on the berries to give more dimensions.  Once dried, I glue them together and adhere to wood grain pattern panel on white card base.  Then added fishtail banner with gold heat embossed greeting.  Then embellished with 5 sequins.

The mistletoe branch and sentiment are both from the Hero Arts Clear Stamp - Vintage Christmas Post set, and I used the matching frame cuts to die cut the branches.  This set was just released before the holidays, and since it's vintage looking, I don't think it will go out of style for a long time.  And it's on sale right now, get it at a2z Scrapbooking Supplies store and use my promote code Cindy15 to get 15% off any purchases $25 or more (excluding shipping).

Supplies:
Hero Arts Clear Stamp - Vintage Christmas Post
Hero Arts Frame Cuts - Vintage Christmas Post Frame Cuts
Ranger Distress Ink - Peeled Paint
Clear embossing ink
Gold embossing powder
Watercolors
Glossy Accent
Little Things from Lucy's Cards Sequins Mix - Apple Ice

Thanks for stopping by.  Have a lovely day!!

You always come up with the most clever ways to use your stamps and dies, Cindy! I really LOVE how you created the wreath, and your traditional color combo is perfect! Such a fun way to use '5' elements on your card, too!
