More Color Layering Butterflies

Happy Wednesday everybody!

Last week I showed you how I "documented' what colours work with my Hero Arts Color Layering Butterflies stamps.  And I did the swatches on white card stock.

After looking at them for a bit, I started wondering what if I stamp them on colour card stork or vellum?  The possibilities are endless.  The color card stock yields a deeper, rich look,  the vellum light and airy.  And I even tried to stamp on both side of the vellum to see if it look any different.

A - pink card stock (Ombre Pink, Red Royal, White heat embossed)
B - vellum (Ombre Pink, Red Royal, Tuxedo Black clear heat embossed)
C - vellum (Unicorn on the backside, Red Royal and Tuxedo Black on the front)

Even I used the same similar color scheme, they turned out looking quite different.

Now I have this stamp image:

And I want to use the butterfly with it.  If I ask you to vote, which one would you take?  :)

Well I couldn't decide either.  So I made three cards.  Each with a different color card base and embellished with some sequins.  Let's take a look.

Supplies:

Simon Says Stamp stamp (Lovely Spring)
Ranger Distress Ink (Barn Door, Ripe Persimmon, Wild Honey, Milled Lavender, Broken China, Crushed Olive, Peeled Paint, Bundled Sage, Squeezed Lemonade)
Memento Dye Ink (Tuxedo Black)
Clear embossing powder
Memory Box cutting die (Effera Butterfly Wings)
Sorry for the lengthy post, hope you enjoyed it!  Thanks for stopping by, have a lovey day!

Amazing how different they look, but definitely hard to choose since they all have their own unique qualities! Glad you used all three because they are so pretty!

Love how different each butterfly is Cindy! It shows just how versatile one image can be. All three cards are so pretty with the heart shaped stamping, perfect happy spring cards in the midst of winter! I think "A" is my favorite because of the vivid colours!

Great experiment, Cindy! I love how each butterfly is so unique, and how beautiful they pair with the heart wreath! If I had to choose, I think the first one is my fave, but I do love them all!

They're all gorgeous, Cindy, but my favorite is the card made with butterfly A--I want these stamps!
