Christmas Cards 2025-Apr-26

 Hello,

I am a little slow in adding to my Christmas card stash this year, but the Positively Poinsettias challenge over at Christmas Kickstart Challenge prompted me to create with one of my many poinsettia stamps. 😊

I used a Simon Hurly Create Peel-Apart stamp named Bold Holiday Blooms for the poinsettia panel.  I inked and clear heat embossed the leaves and flowers in separate stages, then ink blended the background.

Next I die cut it with Waffle Postage Collage Die, matted with with a dark red panel and adhere to a white card base.  I stamped some extra poinsettia blooms and leaves and hand cut, and used it as focal point.  The sentiment strip from Spellbinders Make It Merry Sentiment die set is die cut using gold foiled card stock and backed with dark red card stock.

For some final touches, I added flower center and highlight of the berries using Stamperia Old Gold Contour.

Challenge:

Supplies:

Ranger Simon Hurley Create Bold Holiday Blooms
Waffle Flower Postage Collage Die
Spellbinders Make It Merry Sentiment Die
Ranger Distress Inks (Ripe Persimmon, Barn Door, Lumberjack Red, Peeled Paint, Crushed Olive, Uncharted Mariner, Wintergreen Brough, Aged Mahagony)
Versamark Watermark Ink
Clear Embossing Powder
Stamperia Old Gold Contour

Thanks for visiting me.  Have a lovely day!

I love the soft inking on the background, Cindy, and what great fussy cutting of the focal poinsettia. Thanks for sharing your card with Jo and me at Christmas Kickstart.

I'm so glad that our theme inspired the creation of this beautiful card, Cindy. It's a stunner and I love it's inky dreaminess. Thanks for joining Bobby and me at Christmas Kickstart! Jo x
