a2z Scrapbooking And Coffee Loving Cardmakers Bloghop

Hi,

Welcome to my stop of the
a2z Scrapbooking + Coffee Loving Cardmakers Collaboration Bloghop.

If you have arrived from the talented Kristina Beagle then you're at the right place.  Should you get lost along the way, there's a complete hop list further down this post.  Or you could start from the beginning at a2z Scrapbooking.

a2z Scrapbooking will be giving away 1 free digital kit from our store to a lucky hopper. Winner will be randomly selected from the comments left along the hop.  You have until Thursday April 5th, 11:55 pm PDT to comment.  Winner will be announced on the a2z Scrapbooking blog on April 7th.  There is also a bonus giveaway on the a2z blog with the full March release from Sugartree Stamps.

I have made a couple cards for today's hop.

My first card features a brand-new digital stamp set call Hug In A Mug by Sugartree Stamps and it is exclusive to a2z Scrappbooking.  You could find more information on the a2z Scrapbooking.

I chose the plain mug as my focal point and paper pieced it.  Next I printed the sentiment, colored in and closely trimmed.  On my card base I mounted a sheet music dry embossed panel and a strip of pattern paper.  Both my mug and sentiment are attached onto the embossed panel with foam adhesive.

Supplies:
Sugar Tree Digital Stamp Hug In a Mug
Darice Sheet Music Embossing Folder
Prismacolor Coloring Pencils
Ranger Distress Ink (Spun Sugar, Vintage Photo)

For my second card:

I created an opaque glassware look alike.  So instead of stamping I choose to use stencil and embossing mat to create a texture pattern on white card stock, and die cut my cup then lightly applied distress ink using an inking tool to make the pattern stands out a bit more.

On my recipe card I stamp sentiments using stamps from several other stamp sets.  The coffee bean I printed from Hero Arts Caffeine Fix Digi Stamp and colored with coloring pencils.  And I outline it with a black Pigma Micron Pen. So the cup goes onto the kraft recipe card and then onto a white card base of which the edge I distress slightly using the ink for the cup.  I round the top right corner so it's a bit less boring.

Supplies:
Hero Arts Color Layering Seahorse
Hero Arts 6x8 Cling Stamp - Time
Hero Arts Delicate Petals Stencil
Taylored Expression Clear Stamp - Today's Menu
Ranger Distress Ink (Tumbled Glass, Vintage Photo, Walnut Stain)
Coloring pencils
Pigma Micron Pen
Thanks for visiting.  Happy hopping.

I love both cards. I never thought of using patterned paper for the cup, but now my mind is playing with the concept. And the embossed cup is quite striking.
