Hero Arts Scramble Challenge #151 - Oval

Hi craft friends,

I am hosting the first scramble challenge of the 2017 Spring/Summer session, and my theme is to use Oval.

Yes Easter is on the way and I have Easter Eggs on my mind.  LOL   I made two cards as examples for my players.

The first one is an oval shaped card.

I cut two oval panels from white CS to form the card.  To make it stand, I slight trim off the bottom so it's flat.

I ink the Hero Arts Leaf & Floral Background with two ombre ink pads, Butter Bar to Orange and Pink to Red, and stamp on one of the oval panels.  After I removed the stamp I spitzed it with Perfect Pearl solution and stamped on another piece of white card stock.  This will be used for my second card.

Next I stamp the sentiment in Butter Bar to Orange onto a stitch label.  Then I tied a soft tulle bow around the top panel, embellished with Hero Arts art flower (three different size flowers secured with a white brad) and attached the label.  Then the bottom panel is glued and voila!

Next up:

For the second card, I know I want to use that second generation stamped piece from while making the first one, but I could decide what colors to use.  I am pressing for time now....so I went with White on White.  I quickly die cut Hero Arts Spring branch, and Hero Art Layering Hummingbird on white CS.  Glue it to the oval window panel and added Clear Wink of Stella.  And the whole panel attached to the pattern piece with foam adhesive.

Do you see that subtle pattern?  It looks a lot better in real life, I promise.

Hero Arts Paper Layering Hummingbird Pair

Hero Arts Fancy Die - Spring Branch
Hero Arts Ombre Ink - Butter Bar to Orange, Pink to Red

Thanks for sharing the details for creating these two beautiful cards. I don't think I have a clear favorite between them because they are both just stunning.
