Christmas Moose

Hello,

I am playing along November's Challenge on A Blog Named Hero, Holiday Theme.

Also linking up to Hero Arts' Holiday Cards Making Challenge.

Here's my card:

For this card, I wanted to have subtle snowflake background and don't want to use the torn edge for the ground.  So I stamped with white pigment ink all over, added extra snowflakes at the bottom and only heat emboss the bottom of the card.  And instead of the glittery stickles, I used Sprinkle Sugar; this gives me some texture without too much shine so the focal elements (greeting bubble and moose) take the center stage.

Did you notice a little booboo on my card?  I originally wanted to heat emboss a sentiment at the bottom of the card, but I under estimated how long it took the pigment ink to dry (even after I zapped it with my heatgun).  So the embossing powder stuck to everything else so the sentiment is hiding among the small snowflakes!  LOL  But I think the speech bubble turned out to be a better solution.  What do you think?  :)

Hero Arts Clear stamp: Vintage Christmas Post

such a cute card Cindy - love your idea to use snowflakes to make a snowbank - and if you hadn't mentioned it I never would have know you made a little mistake - TFS at ABNH - and good luck!!
