Masculine card at A Blog Named Hero

Happy Saturday everybody,

July's challenge theme at A Blog Named Hero is Masculine.  This is a tough challenge for me since I am not very good at making masculine card.  Too many flowery stamps!!  LOL

I went thru my Hero Arts stash and found a few stamps that should be appropriate (in my opinion) for a masculine design, such as the Number Pattern, Carte Postal and Untitled Post Mark.

To create this card, I first stamped Number Pattern with clear embossing ink on white CS panel.  Then use the blending tool and applied Broken China and Crushed Olive.  The postage stamp from the Carte Postal is stamped with black on white CS and fussy cut, and adhered at center of Number Pattern panel.  Next I stamped the post mark, then layer the number panel onto black panel and then onto white card base.  I framed the postage stamp image with a stitched square scallop frame glue on top an colored acetate that has gold color trim.  Here's a close up.

Supplies:

Hero Arts stamps:  Number Pattern, Carte Postal, Untitled Post Mark)
Ranger Distress Ink:  Broken China, Crushed Olive
Memento Dye Ink: Tuxedo Black
My Favorite Thing cutting die:  Stitched Sq Scallop Frame

Thanks for stopping by,  I wish you a lovely day!!

Very nice. I have that background stamp and don't use it nearly enough. I now want to get it out and try it again after seeing what you did with it!
