ABNH Challenge #54

Hi, welcome back!

I am sharing a shaker card I made with some recycled pieces for A Blog Named Hero: Challenge #54 - Recycle It.

And I would like to link up the Hero Arts New Holiday Challenge, Anything Goes category.

Let's see it:

My starting point of this project was the left over negative piece from my Floating Snowflake card (top layer).

The next item is "an heat embossing gone wrong going into the recycle bin" panel (middle layer).  I must explain what happened here.  You see originally I wanted to use a white frame for my Floating Snowflake card, so I reached for a white CS.  I did the usual heat embossing procedure, but the powder didn't stick well.  At first I thought I didn't have enough ink, so I added more to the ink pad and tried a second time and it didn't turn out either thinking may be I didn't make good contact.  :(  I went ahead to try a third time, I pressed and I squished to make the ink goes onto the paper and oh yes it did, all soaked up and none left on the surface!   Then I realized it was the paper, I got the Neenah CS, great for Copics, not so good for heat embossing!!!   Okay at least not for me!  LOL!

So these two pieces and the white ribbon, which was part of the packaging of PJ set, are my key ingredients for this shaker card for the Recycle It challenge over at ABNH.

Thanks for visiting, and have a lovely day!

your card is just lovely in those colors, Cindy - and isn't it just fun when something "wrong" finally goes right!!!
