Interactive card on Die Cut Divas

 Hello,

Are you ready for a new challenge?  Interactive Cards is the theme of November on Die Cut Divas Challenge Blog.

My project features Lawn Fawn's Give It A Whirl.  Trust me, it's really fun once you get the hang of putting it together.  If you're not familiar with how to assemble it, just check out this Lawn Fawn Blog post.

Lawn Fawn is our sponsor this November and the challenge prize is $25 gift card to their online store.

Other supplies I used on my card:

Memento Dye Ink (Tuxedo Black)
Golden Gel Medium Light Molding Paste
Artist Concepts Alcohol Markers

I hope you're intrigued to join in the challenge.  Not sure what's an interactive card, here's a quick explanation:
An interactive card incorporates moving parts, hidden panels, or sensory elements that require the recipient to pull, slide, spin, or open the card in a special way to reveal a surprise.

Now it's your turn, make an interactive card and link up to our November challenge gallery.  Link up post is Here.

Peonies Blessings

 Hello,

It's my turn to share another project on the Lunar New Year Challenge blog today.  My card features the very treasured Peonies blooms.  It represents wealth and prosperity.

To make my card I first stenciled the Peonies using Waffle Flowers Postage Collage Peony Stencil set with these inks: Altenew Golden Sunset Fresh Dye Ink, Macha Tea Fresh Dye Ink, Bamboo Fresh Dye Ink.  And I applied Altenew Enchanted Gold Shimmer Relief Paste to the flower center.

Then I die cut the postage frame using Waffle Flower Postage Collage Die and Waffle Flower Postage collage Blocks Die with Gold Foiled paper.  I used a red marker to color the white spaces in between the stenciled images, then adhere the gold postage frame die cut on top.  Then I attached the red outer frame (a piece left over from previous project), and then the whole panel goes onto a card base.

Now the for focal point, the banner is cut out from a red envelope.  The best way I could explain what it means is this:  the blooming flowers bring prosperity.  If anyone of you could translate it in another way, I'd love to hear it.

To add even more Peony goodness to the card, I made a clear Peony seal using Spellbinders Clear Seal Maker Tool and Altenew Soft Peonies Wax Seal.  I matted both banner and seal with pattern paper before I adhere them to the card front.

I hope you enjoy this card.  Will I see you at the link up party?

Shaped Card on Die Cut Divas Take 2

 Hello!!

Shaped Card is our challenge theme on Die Cut Divas Challenge Blog this October.  For my second team project, I created a 3D/box card.

I do miss the warmer days and fresh strawberries picking days.  But fear not, Pink & Main's Berry Pop Up Card Dies came to the rescue.  It was really fun making this one.

I did made a tiny boo-boo when assembling it, I glue the middle layer too close to the front and it looks a little empty in the middle.  So I added an extra layer, now my basket is more full.

Pink & Main is our sponsor this month, they are giving $25 gift card to their store as the challenge prize.

Bring out your favorite dies, make something fun and enter the challenge.  Shaped Cards is our theme, and we have included 3D/box card.  Link up post is here.  See you in the challenge gallery.

Happy crafting!!

Shaped Cards on Die Cut Divas

 Happy October 1st!!

I am excited about October's challenge on Die Cut Divas, this month's theme is: Shaped Cards.  One of my favorites.

My card features the Hey Honey stamp and die from our October sponsor - Pink & Main.  They are giving $25 gift card to their store as the challenge prize.

Remember to use your die cut machine to add die cuts and/or dry emboss when you create for the challenge, theme this month is Shaped Cards (no square or rectangular card please), but we will accept 3D/box card.  Link up post is here.

Other supplies I used on my project:

Memory Box Honey Comb Stencil
Ranger Distress Inks (Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey)
Copic Markers
Touch Markers
Art By Marlene Glamour Glitter (Gold)
Ranger Glossy Accent

In case you're wondering about the hexagon card base, I made my own.  I don't own any hexagon dies, shocking, isn't it?!  So I searched the web and found a couple ways to draw a hexagon.  I made myself a little template, then trace and hand cut the hexagon card base with white card stock.  There you have it.

Thanks for visiting me, have a sweet day!!

Re-cycle, Re-use, Re-purpose on Die Cut Divas - Take Two

 Hi,

I am back with another Re-cycle, Re-use, Re-purpose theme project on Die Cut Divas today.

The adorable animals from Art Impressions' Baby Keepsake Stamp and Die set are water-colored using Altenew Watercolor 36 Pan Set.  I placed them on pattern paper die cut using Pinkfresh Studio Double Stitched Elongated Oval die, and embellished with a ribbon once were used to wrap a baby gift.  This ribbon is from more than twenty years ago.  I knew someday I'd use it!  😉

Our sponsor this month is Art Impression, and the challenge prize is $25 gift card to their store.

Remember to follow the theme, tell us what is your re-cycle, re-use, and/or re-purpose elements; and ensure you've use die cut and/or dry embossing on your project.

I'll see you in the challenge gallery!

Have a bubbly day

 Hi,

I have a quick share today.  It's someone's birthday soon and I made this card for him.

Background paper from Lawn Fawn Bitsy Bloom Collection, die cut using Waffle Flower A2 Lacy Layers Die.  The bubble tea images from Lawn Fawn Year Fifteen bundle are stamped and stenciled with various distress inks and then die cut.  "HBD" die cut using Sizzix Thinlits (666281) on Spellbinders Colorwheel cardstock in Beewax.

The fun part of this card is that the yellow bubble tea is mounted with Spellbinders Card Spinner so one could spin it round and round.

Re-cycle, Re-use, Re-purpose on Die Cut Divas

 Hello,

September is here and a new challenge starts on Die Cut Divas Challenge Blog.

This month we Re-cycle, Re-use, Re-purpose.  Here's my project:

The cord on the basket is from garment tag, and the sentiment is cut out from the bag that piece of garment was shipped in.

I stamped the flower (twice) and basket (Baby's Keepsake from Art Impressions) on watercolor paper and painted with Altenew Watercolor 36 Pan Set, then die cut.  I cut one of the flower image apart and tugged them behind the first one to make a fuller bouquet.

I decorated the basket with the recycled cord.  I matted the sentiment with Spellbinders ColorWheel Blush cardstock.  Both then is adhered to a white card panel dry embossed using Spellbinders E3D-034 embossing folder that came with the Spellbiners Platinum die cut machine.  Then this panel is mounted same Blush color card base.

Our sponsor this month is Art Impressions.  They are donating $25 gift card to their store as prize.

Make a paper craft project with this theme along with die cut and/or embossing to enter the challenge.  You must tell us what you used to meet the challenge theme.  Link up post here.  Go over there to see more inspiration projects.

Happy crafting!!

Always sunshine, last GD post for Scrapbook Centrale this August

 Welcome back,

Today is my last post as guest designer for the FB challenge hosted by my local stamp store, Scrapbook Centrale.  I am still playing with the colors Yellow & Blue.

Beneath the cover die panel is an ink blended background.  On the top the floral images were stamped, and stenciled.  I didn't add any sentiment on the front, I would add one when I come to use it.

I hope this brings you a little sunshiny happiness.

Bye for now!!
