Spring Coffee Lovers' Blog Hop 2016
Hi everybody,
I've got flowers growing on my coffee mug!! :D I heard that coffee grind is a good thing to add to the soil so I am collecting some to put into my garden when the planting time arrives. But that won't happen for another couple of months where I live. So....I made it happen on paper!! LOL
The coffee mug I printed from the Hero Arts Caffeine Fix DK114 Coffee and Latte Digital Kit, I resize it to 3 1/2 inch tall, print and cut twice to make this shaped card. I also lighten a little the colour, and heat embossed it with clear powder to give a glossy texture. Next I wound green and white twine around the front piece, tuck in and adhere the stamped and cut flower images (Hero Arts Garden Flowers by Lia), then added coffee beans (Hot Off The Press - Fancy a Cuppa). Next I decorated the back of the second piece, glue the two pieces together by the handle, and voila my coffee mug card is ready! It could be made into a gift card holder as well. Oh yeah, I added a bit of Stickles too!
The Caffeine Fix DK114 Coffee and Latte Digital Kit is currently available at a2z Scrapbooking Supplies which is one of the super sponsors of the hop.
A2z Scrapbooking Supplies was started in 2007 to raise funds for causes including Celiac Disease, Camp Gluten Freedom and Behcets.
